Pure Bhakti in Gaudiya Vaisnavism boils down to a lot more than smiling gurus and judgements in psychological affairs . One can be so called perfectly situated psychologically in material terms , but be deeply removed from authentic bhakti and even be exploitative and have no real affiliations for meditations in deep bhakti lila smaranam etc , but rather be very much affiliated to the material modern world , there are for that reason first class , second class and third class Bhakti practitioner’s.
Pure bhakti in Gaudiya Vaisnavism is a deep spiritual practice. It goes far beyond outer smiles, good mental health, or fitting into modern society. A person can feel calm and happy in the material world yet remain tied to selfish desires and completely detached from inner meditation and divine love. Why Material Adjustment Is Not Bhakti . Mental peace might mean surrender to Maya , a pig is happy in the trough for instance, what one thinks of as selfless can be selfish . Good psychological health helps daily life, but it does not necessarily awaken the soul’s love for God , although it can be a beginning . A person can act nice and in stable ways while still using people for their own interests and use the world for their own personal false ego and pleasure and have no problems or criticism of the global conglomerates and libertine cultures. Deep attachments to modern comforts and a material status pulls the mind away from the inner world of divine service. What Makes Pure Bhakti Real . True devotion seeks only to please Krishna without wanting material rewards or praise , karma and all sorts of speculative jnana or new age psychology is rejected. The heart naturally turns toward lila smaranam (remembering the pastimes of Radha and Krishna) with genuine longing , along with serving the Acaryas. Real spiritual life changes how a person treats others , one see the true equality in Brahman consciousness , that the soul has been covered by all kinds of Brahman ” material ” coverings within the modes of nature according to karmic synchronicities . The pure Vaisnava feels no attraction or repulsion for anyone and seeks only to bring the teachings that he or she has heard to others in some way , and ultimately remain in his or her internal Radha Krishna lila smaranam.

The monks on the island of Iona , off the Scottish coast, decided to come ashore , feeling compassion for those souls hopelessly entangled in the material energies and who were taking their temporarily situated situations in their lives as their only lot ..In a similar way , when the great waves of Bhakti crash into the shore of material civilizations , the Bhakti element can appear to break up within the multiple nooks and crannies of social societies . It may appear initially that karma and jnana have become prominent, and the original strength of the Bhakti wave has dissipated. However , the great force of the trancendental tide of Bhakti originates from the constant and increasing currents of the spiritual realms and once the waves of Bhakti have broken though the initial coverings of the city of the body the inevitable occurs . It’s just a question of time , some conditioned structures last longer than others, but the onslaught has begun and is unstoppable . There are no limits to the tides of the Bhakti , and Bhakti has the whole of eternity on its side .
Initially , the first waves cause both certainty and uncertainty along with confusion , some waves easily break into structures , but then defence mechanisms are constructed in an attempt to stave off the inevitable , but whats done is done , the energetic source has unfathomable strength and attraction . The monks on the Island of Iona and the monk in that Vrndavana village Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada have let loose the waves of Bhakti into the landlocked and supposed safe illusions of the materialist and speculative . The waters are fast building and permeating everywhere, each of the “victims” have their defenses of karma and jnana being broken down by the consistent waves , and they are being , sometimes unbeknown to them , swallowed up by a spontaneous Bhakti of love . They are and will drop their all their weapons of defence made of karma and jnana and will surrender to their trancendental fate .

Societies have had to wait 4500 years to fully understand Krishna lila. It was the six Goswami’s of Vrndavana who are Gaudia Vaisnavas who have finally revealed everything. In the material worlds , one could say , the understandings of the greatest of the poets ,writers or those adept at understanding the intrigues of emotional dramas , or those composers of wonderful musical scores that are thrilling to the inner emotions , even more so than words , they might sometimes gain hints of something wonderful about the inner depth of inner spiritual consciousness . Those who can portray all kinds of humours in most charming and unique ways , all of these persons may touch upon something of the secrets of a spiritual realm . Comparing a tiny hoof print of a calf that is filled with rainwater to all the oceans within the universe is foolhardy. Similarly , the best of culture can only hint at full spiritual artistries within the spiritual kingdoms . Reflection of a spiritual reality full of varigatedness and personality . The ever-increasing beauty and bliss that is ever new and ever surcharged with emotional ecstacies of Krishna are also shared spiritual emotions and beauty , He shares these incomprehensible spiritual qualities with the Supreme Goddess of fortune Srimati Radharani , who is fully capable of reciprocating them , but also taking them to higher levels . A competition of love takes place between Radha and Krishna. They are always accompanied by Srimati Radharani’s confidants .The writing of the Gaudia Vaisnava acaryas reveals all these trancendental events . At the same time , Krishna , as Maha Visnu through his many many expansions is overseeing all events within the material universes , including our lives , or the life of an ant . Here in this world and the universes , the independence of God is exhibited as well as that of the living beings , who desire to be an independent enjoyer. We can not compare our so-called fulfilled lives to the eternally blissful Dhira Lalita Krishna . Here in this material realm , atoms , elements , and compounds take place of the soul proper . There are no soul to soul direct spiritual exchanges of love . Here we find disturbed minds and flickering and deteriating intelligences cover the original blissful consciousness , thus, we are in ignorance of the spiritual dimensions. We are ambitious to become the big bold enjoyer . We are playing in the algorithmic responsive universe…..That’s our choice . Krishna accompanies us as the supersoul , trying to hint of reality . We may have made a wrong turn , He is trying to point us , but trancendentally He is with us , but not with us .He remains in Goloka Vrndavana eternally and never leaves .
People in general always have and always will need guidance to navigate their way through life . Leaders amongst men and women are the arrangements of Divinity and not Darwin . Survival of the fittest takes on a whole different meaning outside the Darwinian hypothesis . In Vedic theological terms, it means preservation of our human form of life or advancing it to higher realms and ultimately the spiritual realms . Sophisticated animal life means next life animal kingdoms . Were your ancestors apes, no , will you join ape communities, maybe , depending on how you live in the responsive universe. Philosophically speaking , as well as scientifically speaking , everyone appears ultimately clueless about life , and are left to their own guessing for meanings or directions to take . Although when reincarnation is taken into account , we will find intuitive learnings and affiliations with philosophical concepts and theological sciences , they are instinctively present in some . Krishna says such enquiries and progress in consciousness inquiry never dies and carry on next life . In reality , however, most people dont know where they came from or where they are going . They somewhat rely on past ancestral traditions , including various histories , and also the many types of sciences that have developed . Such scientific research can either help or hinder the inquisitive . The philosophies , sciences, and cultures , if we examine them in detail , have always sprung from theological cultures and have similar ways of considering life , inclusive of Divinity , although from different parts of the world and time periods . There is only one God who is looked upon in different ways , like most topics do , the Vedas indicates . Theologically based sciences and cultures , be they a personal understanding of Divinity or an impersonal explanation , are explained clearly within the Vedas and are interelatable to the intelligentsia. Great cultures take such dualism into their socio-political affairs and shape policy accordingly . If one examines carefully the history of law , justice, and social sciences , it can be clearly seen that they have all arisen from similar theological cultures . For instance, within the Vedas , an integrel part of the Artha veda are the completed instructions and recommendations of how wholesome societies knit together in essential socio-political structures . Divinity has arranged for different types of persons within societal affairs , and the Vedas make clear what their qualities and duties are . Progressive guidance for all social groups are within the Vedas, and it brings both social and spiritual mobility for all . Governance and compliance systems for administrations are also contained in broad-based teachings . Theological and philosophically driven cultures are always based on the objective sciences of dualism , the understanding of consciousness, and the body as two entirely different energies . Laws of physics do not affect consciousness, but how one acts within those laws has far-reaching consequences for the consciousness within the responsive universe. Without the sciences of dualism , humanity decends into the animal kingdoms , and humans can be termed as sophisticated animals . Thus, in Vedic culture and other theological progressive cultures , there includes an element of conservation of the essential aspects of living , the living soul is prioritised not only the needs of a body . This is meant for the culture of higher learning in consciousness . Animals can not culture consciousness . Governance and compliance are seriously taken within Vedic cultures, but elements of freedom and democracy are also within its systems, alongside caring and knowledgeable autocratic authorities. Successful people lead disciplined lives , of course , and that goes without saying . Freedom needs to be understood carefully . Otherwise, in the name of freedom , one can be helplessly bound to degrading circumstances and call it freedom. The world of dualism is a reality . Scientific materialism is an illusion stemming from a speculative hypothesis , unfortunately, it is taken as fact based sciences and a licence to become a Darwinian sophisticated animal . Objective sciences are essential for us to clearly understand life’s potential , that was why originally Cambridge and Oxford were established to study theological based objective sciences. Speculative guessing is not scientific. A clear objective understanding leads one in an entirely different direction from the Darwinian. Thus . The West favours atheistic conglomerate liberalisation , democracies led by and influenced by businessmen who see profits as more important than traditional cultures . Theological and philosophically led aligned cultures with dualism are still prominent in some countries and are still with us to degrees .
Essentially, one should become a philosophically minded person and not rely on others to do your scientific thinking . Divinity and the universal order appear to have made ample arrangement for knowledge acquisition , but our hearts must be in the right place , automatically , truth is found by the sincere. Objective sciences gives us a clear indication that life is no accidental affair , there is much evidence of an intelligent design . The depths of knowledge that humans can realise if they desire to understand is clear . It’s easy to grasp and self-evident truth. When societies are led by the intelligentsia and not fast buck businessman who are clueless in philisophical matters and care nothing of them , people will regain their inherant happiness and wise up to real objective sciences . People using religion for political reasons should be rejected, we can never find in-depth theological knowledge from self-centred or ill -motivated politicians.
Dawkins dreams , everyone’s nightmare
Religion is an aftermath….of life’s arrival…says Dawkins and Cronin . They assume themselves as authorities of knowledge and as leaders of scientific communities . They also feel its their responsibility to educate and enlighten the world of their “realisations ” of so-called fact based” truths ” , in reality everything they come up with are their subjective interpretations based on others subjective interpretations . Scientific materialism and Darwinian hypothesis are not based on objective sciences . When examined effectively by objective science followers, using objective sciences, it easily becomes apparent that everything they present is simply guessing and a cobbled together hypothesis with no real supporting scientific proof . When the objective scientific intelligensia push them hard on these matters, they admit and submit … they just don’t know for sure anything that they present is fact .
Dawkins and Cronin have been taught since childhood and throughout their educational experiences by teachers and other PHD. profs . Who were they ? They are also speculative thinkers who have themselves dishonesty presented guessing as facts to millions of school children and students . Darwinians become neo Darwinians , but it’s the same , just regurgitated and dressed up differently . In reality, we have a chain of dishonesty , and each generation of so-called teachers are the link in the chain . Walk into the natural history museum in London. What’s the first thing endless school children see on pre-arranged school tours ? Apes turning into men . Indoctrination from childhood , pictures in early history books of apes turning into men are widely distributed. The Miller Urey experiments are highly regarded and promoted as progressive biological research and indications of our origines in a primordial sludge . The natural history museums architectural structure suspiciously looks like a church in its construction . Cheating on all levels, even psychological levels.
Scientific dualism means consciousness and mind , along with matter, are completely different energies, and this is a self-evident truth . Thus an old person is the same person they were when young , the body is changing around the consciousness , the mind and intelligence also changes, the subtle ethereal energies are covering the pure consciousness , however by the pure consciousness, the ethereal energies are detected .. Only those deliberately keeping themselves in the darkness of subjective speculations miss the obvious , they have accepted false gurus . Of course , Darkins has to try to explain the blatantly obvious about perfect math , symmetry, and obvious design that is all pervasive. So he tells his students to “Ignore what appears as design in the world, close your eyes and intelligence to it , or else you can’t be a true scientist.” Consciousness in objective terms is experienced as a phenomenon different from matter , and thus, it needs examining. We are the same person in our changing body and fluctuating mind along with a fallible and somewhat fading intelligence , especially in old age . Thus , every theological culture , using teleological arguments , presents the natural conclusion that any origin of consciousness , namely God , would have the responsibility to cater for both free will and along side it , bring forth , via the responsive universe various deterministic outcomes . Divine algorithmic processes, one might say . Divinity is hidden but not hidden.
Both the atheistic and theistic need satisfying . Educational experiences for every wondering particle of consciousness , who find themselves enclosed in matter , and having to deal with all the consequences that brings , need catering for . In fact , the chemistry behind molecules are so inconceivably complicated in their own right , one can ask a synthetic chemist how chemical evolution could have taken place by chance arrangement within a primordial soup because they are aware how difficult it is to get chemicals to perfectly bind and remain stable . When a consciousness particle is injected from the male within the female , information systems accompany it . The origins of this information are a complete mystery to Dawkins and Cronin. First, consciousness comes , and only then does informational systems that organise and structure matter follow, life comes from life . The beginnings of this information are described in the Vedas , the cyclic universe means information and the species , that vary through time periods , have a history we can call time immemorial , untraceable history. If we find violence and hatred and fanaticism …this means the theologians and their religious representatives are unscientific and are clueless and not representing God , quite the opposite. Actually, the truth is that theological cultures of every kind have the systematic processes of gradual development of knowledge , everyone takes things at a different pace , according to their previous attachments and impressions . In all religions, there are first class, second class, and third class followers. If anything is presented fanatically with hatred and intolerance, it’s because it’s being presented by third class unthinking followers…who have little realisation of God . One should seek first-class followers who understand God consciousness and the sciences behind not only creation but also psychological conditioning due to attachments to the material world, which bring the varied plights of the conditioned souls . The mature spiritual teacher can give a particular path suitable for a particular state of consciousness, and thus gradually free them from their lower speculative and karmic tendencies. Practical applications within theological cultures are well understood by the first class representatives . Heaven and Hell preaching is a sign of a third class devotee. If we preach Varna Ashram in its strict terms under Vedic ethics, morality, and sensitivity, including condemning encroachments, how are we to accept funding from those who have no standard. Arms dealers, mineral wealth companies who are found to exploit children using child labour who are exposed to dangerous chemicals. Do we take their money ? Financial trading companies, insider dealings , gambling stock markets , fixed commodity markets causing poverty and debt to poor nations , companies indirectly involved in wars arming rebels so Western conglomerates can exploit a countries resources, the list goes on .It was said the Catholic Church had investments in companies producing contraceptives. In a world dominated increasingly by global conglomerates and financial institutions who have a strangle hold on financial dealings with “light touch ” oversight, along with monopoly dominance and the disappearance of free markets and fair trade , these are important considerations for religious communities.

The problems we have in the modern world is , cheating economics its not based on Goodness , ethics, and moralistic standards. Rather, exploitation, corruption, and encroachments on others and their lands . The demons say, “Why pray to God for daily bread , we can give it to you , forget God , forget being pious ….just grab what you can in any way you can ….” But look at their world ….the cheaters and the cheated , ruthless businessman who are kings of the world…..it cannot last , unsustainable economics for fools , who care nothing for future generations.

They will say, “No, we haven’t got bread.” “All right, you ask us.” And they ask the Communist leader, “Give us our daily bread,” and they give sumptuously. “Why should you go to church?”
They preached godlessness in this way, that “You are not getting bread from the church; you are getting bread from us. Why not worship Lenin and his followers? He gave sufficient bread.” In this way they tried to make people godless, that “Don’t go to church.” Still their propaganda.”
Today, we have atheistic capitalists and societies that follow scientific materialism as well as the Darwinian hypothesis . Societies are caught up in the world of controlled markets, monopolies, and global conglomerates , who are calling the shots .There are no free market economics, just cheating after cheating and stealing from others lands . Real sustainability comes from only ethical Dharma. That’s the Vedic way.
In the Srimad Bhagavatam 1 2.19 and 1.2 20 the psychological conditionings are described as well as freedom from them , and the establishment of Suddha sattva , a pure consciousness state that in communion with God though devotion acts with the mind , intelligence , and purified senses , is brought out within these texts . Text 19 (Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.2.19)
tadā rajas-tamo-bhāvāḥ kāma-lobhādayaś ca ye ceta etair anāviddhaṁ sthitaṁ sattve prasīdati [1]
Translation:
“As soon as irrevocable loving service is established in the heart, the effects of nature’s modes of passion and ignorance—such as lust, desire and hankering—disappear from the heart. Then the devotee is established in goodness, and he becomes completely happy.” [1, 2]
According to Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.2.20, one who is established in goodness through devotional service attains scientific knowledge of the Supreme Lord and freedom from material attachment,

Spiritual life does not mean zero ..
There must be activities, one cannot artificially stop the mind and senses, but rather find out the way to link them with the activities of the Supreme Brahman , He is known by many names and by His many activities . Activities can cause increasing trancendental bliss or, in material consciousness, they can helplessly bind the actor. Thus, it behoves us all to learn how to act , and everyone should learn and turn to Divinity and say ” How can I please you ” His pure representatives can help guide.
In Vedic cultures, we say everyone has to and is accepting an authority of some kind , no-one is absent of authority..The question arising is who is your authority and why , and importantly who are their authority .These far-reaching authority structures permeate the whole of societal affairs . The head of the authorities must be properly situated , and Bhagavad Gita sets out clearly their specific behaviour and qualities. Krishna knows the art of spiritual and socio-political sciences, and He Himself works through His agencies as well as clearly defining how everything works. Everything for mankind has been spoken of , there is nothing absent , accept for the willingness to hear ….

Prabhupāda: “…so we have got our authority.” I have got my authority, Bhāgavatam, Vedic literature. Why shall I give you better preference, your authority? I have got my authority.”
Svarūpa Dāmodara:” So we’ll explain that there are two types of acquiring knowledge. Two different techniques. Now the scientists are believing their own…”
Prabhupāda:” That is imperfect. Inductive knowledge is always imperfect. Deductive knowledge is perfect if it is taken from authority. Suppose man is mortal. So, the inductive process is that you examine every man, whether he’s mortal or immortal. So suppose you have seen millions of men, and they are all mortal. They die. Then your conclusion is that man is mortal. But I can say you have not seen a man who does not die. I can say that. So, this inductive knowledge will remain always imperfect. It will never be perfect because your examination is limited. So I can say you have not seen the person, man… Suppose if I say, “You have not seen Vyāsadeva, he’s immortal. You have not seen Aśvatthāmā. He’s immortal.” So how can this scientific research be perfect, inductive? It is never perfect. Because you may be missing somebody who is immortal; then your conclusion is wrong. There is no scope to study all the living beings. There is no such scope. You have limited scope. So your seeing power is limited. How can you decide from the limited seeing power?. Suppose man is mortal. So, the inductive process is that you examine every man, whether he’s mortal or immortal. So suppose you have seen millions of men, and they are all mortal. They die. Then your conclusion is that man is mortal. But I can say you have not seen a man who does not die. I can say that. So, this inductive knowledge will remain always imperfect. It will never be perfect because your examination is limited. So I can say you have not seen the person, man… Suppose if I say, “You have not seen Vyāsadeva, he’s immortal. You have not seen Aśvatthāmā. No one has monopolies on spiritual life , but one thing is your devotion and devotional activities must please your spiritual teacher or spiritual master , and your spiritual master has to be in a chain of spiritual teachers or masters. Spiritual life has both formalities and eventually when purity comes about , spontaneous love, but nothing independent.

Many devotees are overly concerned and place a great emphasis on their astrological situations as something very important to take account of . Some of them overly concern themselves and make it their astrological business to try to avoid suffering and look forward to happy astrological happiness and their influences . It is not a real concern for serious devotees who cultivate trancendental consciousness and serve the pure Vaisnavas , for them trancendental consciousness predominants . The Smarta Brahminical classes always overly rely on misinterpreted tools and misinterpreted sastra in order to reassure themselves , and they rely on karma rather than trancendance . If they approach trancendance, they ask for material benefits , so not so smart . They do not have sufficient faith or an understanding of what devotional activities are really offering . Individuals within the confines of matter and a set of karmic synchronicities are meant to climb out of karma by devotion .
