The material world has been critiqued in the Vedas, its a surreal world , and as such its said by our acaryas life in the material world can be thought of as ” night time dream , day time dream”. One disciple of AC Bhaktivedanta Swami once said ….”but it seems so real if you say its like a dream ” Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami said “its just that the day time dream last longer ” . Like a dream is soon forgotten, although some dreams remain with us for long periods, we can hardly remember most details of our lives , we are practically dead to it . The Srimad Bhagavatam says the body , mind , and senses propels the livings beings forward passionately in acts of lust , anger , greed, and envy and madness. We remain in illusion about so many things and clouded from truths . A madman does not know his true postion in life and acts without any sane calculations. As such, many conflicts occur in the material world that lead to ruthless aggressions against families, communities , and other countries or cultures. Humans can easily act like like animals , with no rational feelings if they are not properly directed by a real human with real human qualities , the intelligentsia with the greatest of characteristics and knowledge of the sciences of consciousness and psychological matters within the social sciences must be heard from . Such a person has control over their senses and mind they are philosophically astute and clearly see and understand objective sciences . Ultimately, this material world gives very little displays of Godliness most of the time , but there are , by the arrangements of Divinity always worthy persons to hear and take directions from . We must find out the qualities of such persons and look out for them Most displays of Godliness or religion in the material world are also tinged with personal attachments , many crooked politicians use religion in perverted ways , ways that currupt its real purposes. God , they think , becomes their order supplier, and often fools follow fools , and presume something is genuine when its a perversion or misinterpreted speculation. Pure exhibitions of spirituality, however, in reality, are without any expectations for anything other than pure unmotivated and unalloyed love towards Divinity and all his parts and parcels. Such a person sees the self-evident truth of equality that a crooked person cannot.
Currently, our leaders are driving humanity and pushing them into further and further conflicts . They are totally clueless in regard to the true worth of humanity and its intended purposes. The world is degrading fast right in front of our eyes .
Anyhow, history shows us that the material world has a very, very long history of all types of aggressive militant activities .Right now, things look like boiling over .
Srila Ragganatha das Goswami in his Manah Siksa advice is that the spiritual person renounce being exclusively concerned with these political or geopolitical types of concerns , but rather concentrate ones time in understanding and developing our spiritual transcendental and spiritual form and cultivate our direct relationship with Krishna along with His various associates and family. By practising serious meditations and deep remembrances , the fullness of absolute beauty and the highest of spiritual culture within the supreme artistry of ever new loving relationships will be experienced .
This is also the underlying advice of all of our Vedic Gaudia Vaisnava acaryas . AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada would say , “First, save yourself..
But also try giving some time to assisting others benefit from the Vedas in some way . We can learn to become , on one level , oblivious to the activities of the foolishness of the ungodly and their uneducated leaders , but on another level, we must point out the foolishness for everyone’s benefit.
