Characteristics: They are active and impel you to do something in the external world , sometimes against our will . In anger, a man can suddenly kill his whole family or even drop a neuclar bomb .
Function: To motivate and direct your behavior , and key to achieving perfection in life is to regulate the mind and senses by Yoga or prayer or linking with Divinity.

Truth becomes self-evident to those who are genuinely seeking truth , the disingenuous can never recognise it , but when they finally become humble, they can enter into understanding of something of the unlimited absolute truth .
Krishna says that after many, many births, one is seeking truth in ways that try to circumvent Divinity and will finally surrender to him .The Supreme Personality of Godhead is the absolute truth, and all relative truths springs from Him , He is the cause of all causes, including illusions that cover truth.
