The peripherals to the cor

Within Gaudia Vaisnava and within the Bhagavad Gita, many processes are in place that are designed to help all the different types of community members , whatever their present state , make the journey of life towards Krishna ..Social and spiritual mobility is on full view and many options can be chosen via Karma yoga , jnana yoga,  niskama karma yoga , and Astanga yoga, all these processes “light up” when Bhakti to Krishna is added . Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Nityananda prabhu have clearly defined everything for this age . Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu has revealed all details to Srila Rupa Goswami along with the other Goswami’s of Vrndavana, who were his associates including Srila Ragganatha das Goswami, Srila Jiva Goswami and Srila Sanatana Goswami. The conversations between Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Ramananda Roy clearly show the peripherals being guided to the cor .. Interestingly enough, the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra also works in similar ways , although it is a “jet boost,” to trancendance,  but still, the foundations of understanding the trancendental truths of the Holy names comes from learning of the foundations of Tattva , the trancendental truths of  Gaudia Vaisnavism as taught by the param para acaryas that can be learned by service and inquiry.  Unless the foundations are securely in place , the deeper understanding of Krishna consciousness will not be understood. Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami Maharaja introduced within the Gaudia Math the singing of the Bhajans of his father Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur and also the singing of other acaryas songs , these songs are the ways and means of approach to Radha Krishna in the proper frame of mind .  The Maha mantra is Radha Krishna so there are immediate initial benefits for newcomers in chanting the Maha Mantra , but the proper approach must be learned. During Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami Maharaja era in India, many immature persons , who had no foundations in Gaudiya Vaisnavism or who lacked real service attitudes took things very  cheaply,  thinking their mundane emotions were trancendental and pure , when their hearts were filled with their own personal interests for subtle and gross sense gratification.

This history is recorded.

During Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta’s era, Bengal was flooded with pseudo-Vaisnavas known as sahajiyās (imitationists). These groups would chant the Mahā-mantra in public kīrtans to induce emotional displays (weeping, trembling, and dancing), treating highly confidential spiritual ecstasies as cheap entertainment. To stop people from cheaply imitating high spiritual states, Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta instituted the singing of structured bhajans written by great masters like Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura and Śrīla Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura. These songs served as a mirror, actively chastising the materialistic mind, defining proper detachment (yukta-vairāgya), and outlining the real, step-by-step ladder of devotion.

Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta was fiercely uncompromising on the philosophy of nāma-aparādha (offenses against the Holy Name). He taught that the Holy Name is non-different from Kṛṣṇa Himself. If a person chants the Mahā-mantra publicly while their heart is entirely filled with desires for material prestige, money, or lust, they do not touch the actual transcendental Name; they merely fire “blank cartridges” (mundane sound waves).
Traditional bhajans act as a purificatory filter. By singing the prayers of the ācāryas, a neophyte practitioner is forced to adopt the humble and surrendered mindset of the author. You can not easily sentimentalize or project mundane lust onto a structured song that explicitly demands self-abnegation and a servant’s attitude…….

The preaching in the West by Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada has brought the Maha mantra all over the world and the International society for Krishna Consciousness is known as the Hare Krishna movement,  but Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami also gave the instructions to build a firm base of Tattva with which to fully understand the cor essence of chanting purely the Maha mantra.

Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami personally sang beautifully all the songs of the Gaudia Vaisnava acaryas and relished their meanings .
