Who is feeling

It is the soul that sees , hears ,tastes,  feels ,smells,  thus in the spiritual planes the souls expression is experienced in fullness , here , in this plane , a fragment of feelings , emotions , and conditioned senses , are displayed,  that is not a reality , its a fleeting minimal sideshow .When the soul leaves the body , the body experiences nothing and is buried or burnt..
The Darwinian hypothesis followers or those who artificially promote scientific materialism are envious of their own selves .

In Gaudiya Vaishnavism, the material body is understood as a complex machine (yantra), while the conscious spirit soul (jiva or atma) is in reality experiencing .

This teaching stems directly from the Bhagavad-gita (18.61), which states that the Supreme Lord directs the wanderings of all living entities who are seated as if on a machine (yantrarudhani mayaya) made of material energy.

In his philosophical treatises like Jaiva Dharma and his devotional poetry, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura breaks down this dynamic into clear realities:

The physical frame (gross body) and the mental faculties (subtle body of mind, intelligence, and false ego) are entirely material, mechanistic, and temporary. They have no independent consciousness.  The soul is the actual source of life and awareness. It feels , hears ,sees , etc . The soul is “seated” within this material vehicle. It misidentifies with the machine that it was given , why was it given ?….you should know….

The physical machine itself can not truly “feel” anything; it is a bag of chemicals. It is the conscious soul that experiences material happiness, distress, and sensory desires through the medium of the mind and body’s senses. When the soul forgets its original spiritual identity, it becomes trapped trying to satisfy the artificial needs of the machine , this is called Maya …that which is not .
