To potential leaders ..
I would say the most important thing is to gather a team of the intelligentsia and hear from them as to how political leaders should administrate and for who .

In Vedic culture, they are of three types .
1. The Vipras and scholars, i.e.,  all kinds ,scholars , but who are aligned with the
2. Sattvic Brahminical intelligentsia,  who  understand the self-evident truth of the equality of all beings before Divinity ,
and who respect all cultures and countries for what they are , and can see the unity in diversity and why it is so .
3. The Bhagavat Bhaktas ..or the very rare pure representatives of Divinity,  who are the genuine well wishers of all persons , and who are filled with the wisdom of theological texts ,  and understand their applications and why they  differ ,  and who are not sectarian in any shape or form .
When political classes have businessmen are their loan advisors,  who can think of nothing but exploitative practices , and who have no philosophical leaning , but rather  ,either  tainted interpretations of theologies , or they are out and out followers of Scientific materialism or Darwinian hypothesis followers , and atheistic. This means  we have failed systems and take a look at the world.
We need educated democracies.
And leaders who are servants of the intelligentsia,   they who are the true well wishers of humanity,  all creatures , and the planet.

In Vedic philosophy, the Sattvic intelligentsia represents individuals who operate in the mode of goodness (sattva-guna). They are characterized by truthfulness, self-control, detachment, and deep scriptural knowledge, and they have no personal or political axes to grind
