The vedas says that when the universe comes to an end, all the elements merge back inside themselves, including fire in all its forms as electricity and light

In Vedic philosophy and  cosmology, the end of the universe involves a process called pralaya (dissolution), where gross physical elements systematically de-manifest and merge back into their subtle causes, and ultimately into primordial nature (prakriti). Fire (tejas), along with light and sensory forms, dissolves back into its subtle essence rather than being lost. The Dissolution of Elements..a reverse evolution….The dissolution follows the exact reverse of creation. Gross elements recede into their subtle attributes (tanmatras)..merging  of fire and electricity.  Fire/light (tejas) and its properties dissolve upward into tactile qualities and space (ether), shedding its manifest physical forms.  All material energy ultimately retracts into the unmanifest state of prakriti and back inside Maha Visnu.

Energies are never lost , they are an eternal aspect of the Supreme Brahman.

The subjective followers of scientific materialism and random Darwinianism guess differently….

The Vedas indicates indirectly that the sun , which is devolved from the Bramhajyoti , never neglects a photon of light, and ultimately, all photons of light return back to the sun , or Brahman energies,  at the time of annihilation light absorbs light..

As we are like light photons compared to the God like sun ,so the photons are never neglected by the sun and return as the Vedas indicates….Similarly Divinity never neglects His parts and parcels. He always gives facilities to them and welcomes them back into his association.
