If we preach Varna Ashram in its strict terms under Vedic ethics, morality, and sensitivity, including condemning encroachments, how are we to accept funding from those who have no standard.  Arms dealers,  mineral wealth companies who are found to exploit children using child labour who are exposed to dangerous chemicals. Do we take their money ? Financial trading companies,  insider dealings , gambling stock markets , fixed commodity markets causing poverty and debt to poor nations , companies indirectly involved in wars arming rebels so Western conglomerates can exploit a countries resources,  the list goes on .It was said the Catholic Church had investments in companies producing contraceptives. In a world dominated  increasingly by global conglomerates and financial institutions who have a strangle hold on financial dealings with “light touch ” oversight, along with monopoly dominance and the disappearance of free markets and fair trade , these are important considerations for  religious communities.

Apply the adage fire with fire ,some will say … i.e. we will use their money to preach about how Sattvic Varna Ashram should  be conducted?
