Gambling is very popular in the material world,  the biggest casinos pull in big bucks , and the trading floors in every country exhibit the greatest displays of gambling , gambling inevitably means cheating , someone somewhere is fixing the Roulette tables. Insider trading means unsure and unpredictable outcomes. The Vedas discourage gambling and points to surety. As sure as death  , so rather spending a life of trying to beat the odds , and accruing things by attempting to cheat the odds of the karmic world,  the Vedas points to a world of acceptance and fair play .Naturally, persons are concerned for a future , but one should look further that a fleeting moment of time , take a trip to the grave yards , and don’t put all your ” eggs in one basket ” as the saying goes .

“Forget the past that sleeps and ne’er / The future dream at all, / But act in times that are with thee / And progress thee shall call.”

Alas for those who spend their days
In festive mirth and joy.
The dazzling, deadly liquid forms
Their hearts fore’er employ.

A brute in work and heart?
Should man, the Lord of all around,

Professor Albert Einstein in his comment that God does not throw dice , was responding to the many possibilities of quantum physics that both Bhor and Schrödinger put forward as reality.  The Vedas agrees with Bhor and Schrödinger,  free will within the responsive universes means there are unlimited outcomes,  but the outcomes are destined by karmic synchronicities imposed .Gambling can not change destinations but can make them worse . What’s due is  due , but however the process of atonement,  sacrifice and especially the process of direct devotional services to Divinity changes destiny . So , change destiny the honest way , gambling means someone’s wealth is taken and given to another , in doing so the person becomes entangled and indebted in this life and next .Honest and good faith is the Vedic way and tollerance of difficulties , and an acceptance , but however remembering…..one who does wrong or suffers wrong is wrong.
