But extraordinary as it might sound , this kind of thinking and discussion parallels some the talks , that Krishna had with Arjuna in  thd Bhagavad Gita . That due to bad habits or previous connections , in previous lives  , we are forced to act by the material energies in certain ways , almost beyond our control , but Krishna says , by education,  association and practice,  we can learn to practice ”  free won’t ” means , my body and mind are attracting  me to do something  , but , but I won’t listen , because therd is going to be an outcome that ultimately will not be in my best interests . The founder of ISKCON Srila Prabhupada said in one purport ,” the devotee is very expert at ignoring his mind.”

By such practice of controlling mind and senses,  it is medically proved that the neurons begin firing differently, and the secretion of brain chemistry behaves differently , thus addiction and craving subside.

Srila Visvanatha Cakravati Thakur, a famous and prolific teacher of Vedic philosophical matters , tells we , as spiritually minded persons,  have two bodies , the influences of the former life , and the influences of this lifd  , if we could see the quantum and ethereal planes , we would see clouds of influences ready to move our psychological movements and senses in particular ways , things the astrologers can pick up in astrological readings . So the current body along with its associated energies , is one body , and the newly forming spiritual body , depending on how much we form it , what’s referred to as Sadhana practice and Ragganuga practice , in thd Vedas . Namely ,  the  forming of a mentally conceived spiritual form , our original pure spiritual and spiritual senses can be developed .

Thus, the phrase “the science of self realisation ” has many connotations .

When the Vraja Gopies of Vrndavana, who Krishna created a festival of happiness in the heart of Krishna , who displayed  His unlimited pastimes , exhibited  to bring a flavour  of the highest realms of spontaneous unmotivated pure spiritual love to  this earthly plane and attract  His devotees and those pious souls who have properly cultivated consciousness showing respect for all beings and who  also culture God consciousness.

The  trancendental method Krishna uses when He wishes  to attract the Vraja Gopies is to send personified messages through His flute music ,  music takes on much greater dimension in the super subjective plane of a varigated spiritual world.  Having heard the call of the personified Cupid ,  a call which enters the depths of the Gopies hearts , they  abandoned their sobriety,  fear , shyness, and any  sense of discrimination, and immediately answered the call .

Complete sacrifice is required in the ultimate plane of love , and nothing short of that will suffice.

The  Catholic order of the  bride’s of Christ , or  Nuns living in convents , or monks living in monasteries,  perhaps could understand.

Actually, Krishna is our greatest friend , master , lover, and relative .  The sound of His flute calls  everyone to service , including His Vraja Gopi friends  to  dance  and  play music  n a night time festival ,  a trancendental festival that lasted millions of years , as the  time dimensions were adjusted by Krishna , from our 12 hours to the 12 hours of Lord Bramha,  lasting 4.5 billion years . As Einstein said,  time is relative,  its also interchangeable, it seems .

Currently the flute sound has been transformed into the   Nama Sankirtana , the chanting of Gods names , this chanting is calling us all to the service of Mahaprabhu and through Him the service of the residents of Vraja headed by Vrsabhanu Nandini Srimati Radharani , any one hearing or vibrating God’s names can transport themselves to the spiritual world.

Srila Prabhupada, wonderful Godbrother and great friend of Prabhupada once gave that comparison , H.H. Srila Sridhar Swami , he is a brilliant scholar and deep thinker .

On arrival ,to the dancing ground,  having responded to the call to come to the  forests of Vraja , Krishna tested the Gopies love and determination by externally appearing to ask them to return to their family lives and duties , He appeared to reject their services.

Srila Kavi karnapura in his Ananda Vrndavana Campa indicates to us all , Krishna sometimes appears very harsh ,and it’s very difficult to overcome all difficulties of a body and mind to properly develop unalloyed devotion toward Him ,  but this harshness and difficulties experienced  by us , are the workings of His external energies,  they are like the outside of the coconut,  Krishna is very very sweet by nature ,and any difficulties we maybe experiencing are gradually cracking the shell of our conditioned nature ,  and they serve a purpose in helping us aquire hearts of sweetness , dedication and devotion towards His eternal service , in doing so we can aquire the characteristics of pure devotees who are  impeccable to say the least .  Through the service of such residents of Vrndavana ,who Krishna dearly loves we may get the good fortune of assisting them as they serve the emaculate senses of Dhira Lalita Krishna,  or equally through His devotees in Mathura or Dwarka ..

So, austerities and hardships cause pain in many ways.  But in Krishna, consciousness brings the sweetness of the heart .

Lord Krishna of course expertly achieves  many purposes by  His activities , that is seen by His activities in Vrndavana, Mathura and Dwarka and also his messages to greater humanity on the battlefield of Kuruksetra in His sacred conversations with Arjuna . Never has there ever been such  conversations that mystically touch upon all subjects of yoga , transcendence, and  the sciences of mind consciousness and matter within spacetime. 

Many traditions,  many approaches , many cultures . In Gaudia Vaisnavism , the Vedas and its broader meanings can easily be incorporated.

But over riding and trancending the multicultural effects of the gradual progressive path as given in theological cultures is the process given bh Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu , that of    hearing , chanting of God’s names and  remembering  the pastimes and activities that God performs , in either Vrndavana,  Dwarka , Mathura , or on the battlefield of  Kuruksetra. Such remembrance constitutes the processes of Bhakti and gives  the promise of giving perfection in spiritual life .

However, some who may not have focus on establishing Krishna consciousness worldwide may not necessarily understand the epistemological and etymological systems of Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur, Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami or A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

But one thing for sure , as Prabhupada said , you’ll know something by its results .

Thus, the International Society for Krishna consciousness is ever increasing all over the world and as time goes on , and other Gaudia Vaisnava groups are also now spreading the Glorious activities of Mahaprabhu.

Many  of the different aspects of Vedic literatures and their social and political and economic systems will be revived in the near future and understood as fair and progressive. Think tanks will be set up ,and plans set for , not short term , but long-term , 100s of years ahead , will be formulated.

Time , place,  circumstances, and adjusted preaching presentation without losing the essence is what Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur, Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami Maharaja and AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada are all about will be clear .

Following Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu in his conversation with Ramananda Roy , these acaryas understand everything perfectly and know how also to make in roads into society at large in systematic ways , that is the uniqueness of ISKCON.

BUT, if Russia feels the effects too much , John Mearsheimer thinks it won’t retreat but could be left with no other alternative than a localised nuclear strike . Russia has no intentions of having USA and Nato on its door step , as much as USA would not want China and its military in Mexico.

We must remember history and warnings from history,  and ignore left leaning Liberal political parties that want to spread aggressive militant democracy.

Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami Maharaja once said the perfection of life is to satisfy the emaculate senses of Divinity.

This ever increasing ,ever enthusiastic, and ever new, phenomena  , cannot be understood by those with spiritual senses covered by matter , senses covered by matter , means spiritual corruption, and self-centred lust , to satisfy the emaculate senses of Divinity, Krishna in His Dhira Lalita form , one must aquire original spiritual senses and come under the control voluntarily of the Supreme Goddess of fortune,  one cannot stand before Divinity oneself,  but rather through Her ,either directly or indirectly.

Thus, the mysterious goings on in the highest of spiritual planes have been spoken.

Seek and you shall find , all is revealed in the  Smriti of rasa scholars,  their epistemological systems and etymology translation of sanskrit are available as is the association of those who experience them to one degree or another.

You’re losing control of your body, and it’s  changing  day by day , whether  you  like it or nog , you have no choice , those cells are  in  fast reproduction mode , the atoms ,elements compounds, and molecules are busy at work , you don’t know how or why .  Despite endless and  sometimes desperate research by our best leading  scientists , they  unfortunately remain completely clueless why time and ageing are taking place . They  can only offer the sticking plaster of plastic surgery,  which never quite looks natural.

It is indeed a great tragedy , and should not be acceptable  ,that  beautiful , young  , youthful, and ever enthusiastic for life bodies , are forced to change and wither ,  why should youth  be  given up , why should we accept this happening to our bodies , along with fragile minds and a q1 fading wit and intelligence , we should not accept , rather ask why ?

Don’t listen to those speculative scientific materialism , who can’t understand dualism,  and push subjective bias ,as fact based science.

Still , the Vedas say , “Make the best of it, but plan for a  real  future, a future with no past ,  in order to plan, you must know your  best options , if you have not looked into the best of the options  open for you , do so immediately , do so fast , time and tide wait for no man .

All is revealed in the Vedas and by the professors who speak them.   So please do go ahead and know your  best options known  to you , make your plan , you know instinctively your consciousness is not the changing body , get a body to match it .

Material universes have the greatest purpose,  unlike the Darwinian or those that follow scientific materialism the Vedas depicts the multiple purposes of the universe, its purposes can be known by one who knows the consciousness behind all things ,one who knows one thing can know everything.

The ultimate searching of all consciousness is pleasure , no one wants to suffer , even if you try to harm an ant , if will protest.

So pleasure is the name of the game,  and how to find it in innumerable ways , throughout numerous universes by innumerable particles of consciousness is what’s going on .

In our experience of life in human form , in childhood, in  youth , middle age or old age , there is flickering experience of pleasures, a taste of something and an enthusiasm for something, but it dies back , changes and situations are thrust upon us that we would rather do without.

Contrast this to the descriptions of the state of consciousness in the very highest planes of existence that are described in detail  by  Srila Rupa Goswami and many other scholars of the Vedas , and the state of matter ,mind and consciousness is looked at very differently as well as  our existing at all  in time and space .

Ultimately, the science of consciousness, mind, and matter should be of great interest to everyone , it could well be the ultimate solution to any difficulties,  certainly that is the message of the Vedas .

A good start is reading Bhagavad Gita,  it speaks of five topics, but  broadly consciousness, mind matter time, and free will as well as  determinism are discussed , it also gives descriptions of upper , middle and lower planetary systems and the ways time and different kinds of physics operate in those systems,  along with the types of bodies who reside in such places .

The goal of Bhagavad Gita is to get us to a place where having once gone , one is never to return to another temporary place,  and in a body that is permanently in enthusiastic playful mode , surrounded by similar persons and ultimately the Supreme Goddess of fortune along with Divinity Himself Krishna.

Many ancient cultures spoke of the universe  being an  enclosed unit  with lower , middle, and upper planetary systems within a “shell ” , this indicates that the original cosmological knowledge of the Vedas , in former times was  widely distributed and worldwide cultures were influenced by it due to the distribution of it . This was done by ancient trade routes as well as wondering  mendicants as well as exiled kings forming new kingdoms .

Outside of a universal shell , within which the upper , middle , and lower planetary systems were situated ,  cultures aligned with Vedic cosmology  understood was a place where  Divinity and His  super subjective planes existed , with all the splendour of  its  spiritual varigatedness , unaffected by time or any physical laws .

The Greeks and later the Arabic cultures as well as a  Vedic culture and other cultures from the South Americas all held this  similar understandings , thus  cultures were intertwined and evidence for  a much earlier concept of a global world can be thought of .

When the Roman empire  conquered most of  Europe, having  taken in previously within their own cultures some aspects of Christianity,   blind unscientific religious fanaticism began to develop , some or most of the traditional Vedic ways  of understanding our universe , along with a  greater scientific approach  to consciousness in general came to  decline , as unscientific fanatical religious doctrine was forced by use of militant might onto the public . Later , when the  Roman empire came to an end , Christians predominanted and scientific thinking outside the bible came to a complete halt .  But the old Arabic and Greek texts were still available, and  the  Mogal empires preserved  some of this  thinking of our universal structures .which was essentially theological in nature . In India, of course, this Vedic cosmological remained in tact .

The Renaissance period gave a rebirth to science and shunned religious fanatical 7 a  rethinking of  the universe was formed  .Modern geometric systems and euclidean math was the new way of looking at life , so much so , that God was pushed out the picture, and so was dualism , the mind and body as a seperate unit .  The mechanistic Darwinian world had begun, scientific materialism, that used  math and mechanistic thinking  , placed our stars millions of miles away,  and a concept of an infinite space,  with no God outside of a universal shell was developed and taught in educational systems. If there were a God ,  some thought,  it’s  probably an impersonal energy . The idea of a separate mind to matter was written off  because the mind could not be measured , and math could not be applied .

Measurements of the distance of planets in a multidimensional space,  as spoken about by Lisa Randall the Harvard Prof,  may not be so easy to calculate ,   the laws of physics are said in the Vedas to operate differently in different parts of the universe, so what  is far is near ,what is near is far in a multidimensional universe.

The ancient culture and sciences should not be hastily discarded and rubbished , or  replaced by scientific materialism , which in itself is dogma , it cannot even account for a mind , but rather believe  it to  only be simple neurons firing in a mechanistic mathematical brain , these events all supposedly happening by chance in a chance universe . This mechanistic veiw could be said to be  ludicrously absurd , and discards the notion of the  intelligence and obvious design in just about everything we see ,  as well it ignores the perfect math in nature , where there is perfect mathematics you can bet your bottom dollar there is a perfect mathematician behind it .

Richard Feynman once famously said you can have a PHD. and still be stupid , and in Vedic and theological terms , one could be academically astute but be very questionable in character, and morality of all kinds .

In Vedic culture we have social mobility in real terms , and the highest perfection in everyone’s life is to be brahman realised ,and actually go even beyond those  realisations and reach Paramatma and Bhagavan consciousness,  and even in Bhagavan consciousness , those that can enter into the understanding of Dhira Lalita Krishna are most complete.

Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu has granted access to the secrets of Srimati Radharani playgrounds , and by Her grace is giving the highest ideal to the lowest of persons,  thus the world magnanimity is applied to Mahāprabhu,  the greatest show of magnanimity that there can be .

By reading the trancendental literature of all the Gaudia vaisnavas and by humbly associating  with a  service attitude. just about anyone can become knowledgeable and see the material world for what it is and enter into the spiritual world with a well trained yogic mind and a mentally conceived spiritual form

Many times, you’ll hear someone say ,” I can identify with that “

But who or what should we identify with ?  Our childhood, our youth ,our middle age , or old age ?  Or how about our political leanings  ?  Which  political movement  suits us  ? left leaning,  right leaning, or centre ground ? Persons are forever  changing who or what they identify with . Sometimes someone is our friend sometimes the same  person becomes our enemy , sometimes someone is very attractive as a partner to us , and a short time  later we reject them , and find someone else . The Vedas indicate that the minds   business is forever accepting and rejecting the  sense objects . This world of ever fluctuating duality has to be understood , and the real observer should learn to advance the consciousness to a state beyond the duality of material life , when we examine the disturbances of dualities  , we  begin to realise such states  occur because of excess and our own  selfish motivations , we , at that point  can climb higher in consciousness , and begin to contribute real  happiness to others , without  selfish calculations and ultimately undertake the ultimate sacrifice,  contributing  happiness in the planes of Divinity.  Sacrificing for the  sake of others without considering my own feelings is an elevated state .  You’ll be pleased to hear such a sacrifice becomes very rewarding as the universal material and spiritual energies work in such a way that nothing goes in vain .

The Vedas encourages us to dive deeper into states of consciousness and explore a different sort of happiness , a happier  state of mind , beyond the sense of  sense satisfaction that even animals can easily obtain . The Vedas encourages us to consider whether we are boy , a  girl , young , old , black ,white ,  rich, poor, intelligent, or not so ? , or are we just an  observer of such conditions that are thrown upon us? And are we becoming overly  affected , because of selfishness.

Let’s see what Sastra say .

nāhaṁ vipro na ca nara-patir nāpi vaiśyo na śūdro
nāhaṁ varṇī na ca gṛha-patir no vanastho yatir vā
kintu prodyan-nikhila-paramānanda-pūrnāmṛtābdher
gopī-bhartuḥ pada-kamalayor dāsa-dāsānudāsaḥ

Translation

“ ‘I am not a brāhmaṇa, I am not a kṣatriya, I am not a vaiśya or a śūdra. Nor am I a brahmacārī, a householder, a vānaprastha or a sannyāsī. I identify Myself only as the servant of the servant of the servant of the lotus feet of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the maintainer of the gopīs. He is like an ocean of nectar, and He is the cause of universal transcendental bliss. He is always existing with brilliance.’ ”

This verse , with Vedic terms for our  different social status  and stages of life , offers an insight into the permanent identity of a soul in a  specific relationship with Divinity , This may be a little esoteric for many to understand,  but the principle is given , you are not the body , not the changing mind , not a  deteriating and frustrated intelligence , but something beyond material calculations , and this super subjective realm is understood by sacrifice,  and the ultimate sacrifice is one of pure service to Divinity , in a  cooperative spirit , with others who have similar goals. 

The Vedas delineate many other permanent relationships , that have nothing to do with atoms ,elements or compounds or an ethereal ever-changing mind and intelligence.

The original consciousness belongs in a permanent identity, which is ever new and ever enthusiastic to exchange love and as the song goes

Somewhere over the rainbow

Way up high

There’s a land that I heard of

Once in a lullaby

Maybe your fairy tale child hood imaginings have something to them

Read the Vedas to find out yourself,  literally.
