Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu the most munificent incarnation of Godhead , along with His intimate associates , have given incalculable benedictions to many persons , some know it , some not , some will know it soon , some will know it later . To paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill , “never has so much trancendence been given by so few to so many .” This trancendentally unprecedented ocean of nectarine consciousness and bliss has decended into this world and is increasing day by day , Although unseen by the overwhelming majority, but how can they understand Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is pouring nectar on the hapless and unfortunate souls of Kali yuga .
Through the association of His devotees , through the chanting of the Holy names , through educational programmes of studies of the Srimad Bhagavatam and the litratures of prominent acayas from the Gaudia Vaisnava culture , though the distribution of prasadam , Mahāprabhu’ s representatives of all kinds and delivering something wonderful , representatives who represent the Gaudia Vaisnava acaryas are busy executing fast acting relief work , and the tide is turning .
Perhaps the most essential benediction for thise mature students is the access very quickly to the essence of Mahaprabhu’s teachings , Mahaprabhu has allowed everyone whether fit or unfit , to dive deep into the ocean of bliss by absorbing oneself or hearing of the works of Rupa Ragganatha .These eternal associates are intimately connected to Mahaprabhu . Srila Svarūpa Damodar , for instance, was puzzled as to how Rupa Goswami could understand the inner heart of Mahaprabhu in his writings . When Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu took sannyasa Ashram , He immediately desired to go to Vrndavana the most Holy place in Spirtual world where spontaneous love for Krishna is forever and increasingly experienced.
Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu is setting the perfect example , but on the other hand, as it has been described by our Gaudia Vaisnava acaryas , Vrndavana can be , and is refered to as a state of mind . Wherever Mahāprabhu was that was Vrndavana, and the same applies for His pure devotees.
Once, when Lord Siva appeared to disrespect his father in law Daksya Lord Siva’s wife asked him why he had done so . Lord Siva replied that it was not deliberately done , that he had not stood up to show respect to Daksya . It was because Lord Siva said , “I am always absorbed in Krishna ,” . This is called Suddha Satva consciousness , pure trancendental goodness on a super subjective spiritual plane that can be achieved by hearing pure sound called Sabdha Brahman coming from pure devotees .
In the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna speaks of different ways of acquiring knowledge , either from one’s own limited sences , including the mind and intelligence , which is limited, or acceptance of others knowledge and experience ,which can also be limited . Krishna also speaks of knowledge of an impersonal spiritual light, a kind of relief and release from all troubles . Srila Jiva Goswami compares that kind of impersonal liberation to a satisfying deep sleep.
But the highest realm of spiritual realms decends by grace when one practices devotion to God. That is Suddha Satva , the consciousness that Mahaprabhu and Lord Siva demonstrated. That is received from a perfect source someone who is self realised in knowledge of God and who understands applications of the Vedas . Such a person has heard pure sound , accepted pure sound, and vibrates pure sound .
We should also note from Krishna’s pure spiritual subjective thinking that the whole material universe is born , thus, as some physicists understand, there is a curious connection between our willpower and the energies that it can attract.
The Bhagavatam recognize the absolute importance of persons who have sufficient knowledge to not only properly guide societies members on an individual basis , but also collectively , according to an individual or category of persons needs both materially , emotionally , and the spiritual and metaphysical needs . Such are the qualities of the intelligentsia who are essential for all members of the community , indeed, they alone can build good and just Nation . The Bhagavatam demonstrates and makes clear what this type of knowledge is composed of and what the qualities of the intelligentsia are . The Bhagavatam points out clearly what essential needs are , based on the living beings’ real position ,calculated on various scientific conclusions ,which today are verified by todays biologists , chemists, and physicists , at least by those who are dedicated to objective scientific conclusions . The Srimad Bhagavatam always demonstrates a fully comprehensive approach to life, which is non sectarian and is open to all . It also makes it clear how essential knowledge is obtained and how it is practically applied in the myriad of communities of humankind . Society is taken as a body , a cooperative spirit keeps the body healthy. We can look at these matters in the following way . The Bhagavatam shows how the overall well being of all entities can only be achieved if they are directed and advised by scrupulous men and women who are of the highest characters trained in the science of consciousness and matter . Such members of the intelligentsia fully understand how consciousness can become conditioned and degraded by material modes or conditions. Leaders who actually have the qualities to lead have remedies to adjust societies for the ultimate benefit of individuals and their societies and nations . Correcting badly thought out political systems that are infiltrated by unqualified leaders , who are unscientific in every way , they are blind leaders , and their blind ” Democratic ” worshipers like lemmings are following their leaders of the cliff to societal oblivion. . The Bhagavatam shows the administrative method and qualifications of an administration that enable smooth policy and practices for organising the many different types of persons living in society . They are broadly understood as 1. Deep philosophical thinkers with sensitivity for the welfare of all . 2. those who are full of valour understanding the need for justice and protecting societies members , 3. those who are concerned with economic output and have a liking for trade , industry, and food production, 4. those who are craftsmen and trades men who essentially keep the wheels of the social machine running . Each are to fulfil their potential. The Bhagavatam shows how productive fair and just systems for business enterprise and economics ,i.e., (standards and policies) might be drawn up by independent legislators who have everyone’s economic interests at heart . Enabling a truly free market economy to flow but that has social responsibilities. The Bhagavatam shows how the working man has his interests and needs met in full with support and care . These four aspects of society are woven together and harmonized for the interests of society as a whole working in tandem with and incorporating social cohesion and social mobility . He possesses fullness , and has attractive qualities which Hd exhibits both in His personal abodes and also is forever displaying His full opulence through His innumerable and unlimited energies , the energy and the energetic . The living being also exhibits qualities , but Krishna possesses unlimited Qualities to unlimited degrees.
As being currently living without direct contact of Divinity, we try to experience a happy permanent existence , problems occur outside of Divinity , and our incompleteness needs to be addressed . We must understand why limitations are imposed upon us by material nature causing our conditioning and difficulties . Although we seek this permanent happiness and fulfilling experiences , we see they come and go like winter and summer seasons. Seeking complete satisfaction in our lives and relationships is a natural deep yearning of our inner consciousness. This can be achieved according to the Bhagavatam by primarily establishing a direct relationship with Divinity, who always seeks to take us out of our individual entanglements that limit and frustrate us .We currently find ourselves within what’s referred to as the Maha Tattva or the complete material energies combined. Our body, mind, and intellect are microbe of its universal totality. The Bhagavatam paints a picture of what could be referred to as karmic synchronicity which is driven by actions within the classical physical world , supported by the many possibilities of an atomic plane , quantum physics hints at our being linked to a subtle ethereal plane that occupies our mental energy , that the universe reponds to . There are many different types of skills and types of knowledge that one can acquire , and everyone has something to offer within the social systems that are referred to in the Vedas as Varna Ashram social structures . Everything one has , including one’s very self, can be offered in a sacrifice , in a number of ways , those directions are given in the Bhagavatam, that is immensely pleasing to Divinity , when Divinity is pleased one automatically becomes pleased .
Although modern societies teach satisfaction of our own material mind and senses is the real goal and will make us happy , or helping others do the same , and these days super liberalism is in vogue, teaching … any way the mind or senses demands it can and must be done . But the Bhagavatam disagrees and condemnes such irrational behaviour , it teaches such unbalanced materialism is a great whirlpool of degradation and entrapments , such entrapments operate ultimately under the full control of Divinity and are within the realms of the given free will , but with determinism , ie . reactions within a supreme justice system . The material world is a planned and prescribed rehabilitation centre , its a self-imposed prison , instigated by an individuals own conscious actions , and engineered by Divinity . The Bhagavatam explains how such actions within matter are connected to a universal order which are automated in macro and micro worlds, namely the great Maha Tattva , the universal form of Divinity , as well as the 100s of nano machines working in every cell coded with specific information both physical and an ethereal reactionary plane . But in that spiritual realm, there is a full display of blissful varigatedness, a full display of blissful relationships, and a full display of beauty in every respect along with an unlimited display of trancendental artistry . There are many benedictions offered by all the great teachers for those who have a set of Bhagavatams in their house for the ultimate well-being and protection for those who reside there , alongside this great literature which decends from the finest realms of consciousness . Indeed, the Bhagavatam is the book Bhagavat, and our leading acaryas are person Bhagavats, who are the personification of the Srimad Bhagavatams teachings , both purely represent Divinity.

In Kṛṣṇa Sandarbha, he shows that the form of Kṛṣṇa is the original form of Divinity and explains why He is the object of loving devotional exchanges. Then, in the Bhakti Sandarbha, Śrī Jīva Goswami establishes the path of devotion as the sole means to direct God realization. Finally, in Prīti Sandarbha, he analyses prema-bhakti, devotional service in pure love of God, and shows how it is the supreme goal of life for all living beings.

God is the supreme enjoyer , and He attracts and entices all His parts and parcels to independently and by their own free will join Him in His ecstatic blissful life .
Love is an action word and love must necessarily be voluntary , one has to consider..why do you love someone ?

Ultimately, we are not dead stones or downloads of God , but we have free will , and if we want, we can love Krishna and His family or any of His expansions.

An absolute truth remains a truth at all times. It relates to all things at all times and to all persons at all times , in all circumstance at all times , it also interelates with unlimited relative truths . It always remains a fact that can never be changed, at any time in the past, present, and a future.
In todays social media society , it becomes more and more difficult to find any objective truths , and everyone is being bombarded with subjective and relative opinions , often presented as objective facts to various gullible members of the public , or on various media webb sites .
The BBC are also dishonest when John Simpson , their foreign affairs editor, proudly says the BBC never spin anything , that very statement is spin . What’s good for the goose? May not be so good for the gander .
Truth is infinite and unlimited and the limited may know something of the unlimited by the unlimited mercy of the unlimited on the limited .
Krishna says if you want to know the truth , one must approach a bone fide spiritual master , who has insight into absolute truths , the Vedic cultures have always recognised the trancendental Gurus , whose lives are dedicated to Divinity and who are able speak purely and directly from the Scripture and can give insights to all its aspects , with no duplicity.
Political truths and philosophical truths maybe another matter , and could be regarded as relative truths , if they are actually truths , and crucially if they are expounded by those who live in the mode of goodness and thus truthfulness, they will ring true to the truthful ,not to the crooked .
Those who want to be cheated will always find cheaters .
A .C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada would say this world is for the cheaters and the cheated .
Ultimately, if one takes shelter of absolute truth, one is going to instinctively know when truth is before you , Divinity within the heart directly inspires the truthful, and the truth can always be corroborated , by other saints as well as the theological texts passed down from any of the four sampradayas and their disciplic successions .
An introduction to Srimad Bhagavatam and its contents..
You will find in my accompanying essays further elaborations of the Srimad Bhagavatam along with the history and the writings of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada , who presented the Srimad Bhagavatam to the Western societies for the first time in the late 60s and 70s . We can give a little introduction to the highly esteemed trancendental works, all of which are well recognized by leading scholars worldwide . Previously to this only Sankacarya’s impersonal philosophy had been predominantly taught .
In modern times, the word WHY is said to be the most popular word on Google , it is punched into unlimited keyboards on a regular basis. Indeed , unless the human asks , who am I ? why do I exist ? What is my real purpose ? , one can consider one has lost an opportunity of a human form of life . Animals obviously don’t have facilities of rational , logical enquiries , although they possess consciousness like you and I.
With logic in mind , William Paley intelligently concluded that someone finding a watch whilst walking in the long grass , bearing in mind in 1850 many country folk would have never set eyes on a watch . On examination, they would naturally assume its fine engineering and design are most certainly the work of a creative brain and exceptional intelligence . Isaac Newton thought that each individual thumbprint of human beings was clear evidence for individual design . The teleological argument , design permeates everything in nature and the universe remains as strong as it ever did and becomes stronger as scientific research progresses . Recent studies of the entropy of the cell , shows the cells have low entropy, meaning high organisational levels , but at the same time, high energies operating within the cell ,that one would expect to be a course of high entropy , so its puzzling where low entropy existz in an atomphere were high entropy might be expected. The fine tuning of the universe , the so-called goldilocks phenomena , i.e., that everything is just perfect , not too much heat , or too cold , a perfect gravitational force is present , just the right amount of oxygen etc . etc . These are some examples one can give , there are many more .
Certainly, the opening pages of the Srimad Bhagavatam confirm this , the famous opening sloka declares Divinity is directly and indirectly conscious of every aspect of creation , a creation that emnates from consciousness . Life comes from life… Molecules don’t move towards life , something brings them together. The Srimad Bhagavatam itself is a series of one to one conversations through time frames , there are dialogue partners , and these constantly weave in and out of space time , over billions of years and not in any chronological order . There are references to appropriate histories and certain lessons that can be learned either from Divinity Himself or His devotees . These are defined as factual events relating to Krishna and His devotees or illustrative stories , like fables bringing home key and important philosophical points .
The Bhagavatam appears and dissappears in the long course of 311 trillion years of a set time of this universe, as much as the sun rises and sets and appears to appear and disappear. The creator god Lord Bramha has inconceivably 4.5 billion of our years as his 12 hours , its recorded in the Bhagavatam as he sleeps , a partial shut down of the universe lasting for 4.5 billion years begins , before being rebooted . Although our total universe is trillions of years old , not all it is shut down , whilst Bramha sleeps , the highest planetary systems remains unaffected.
Lord Krishna Himself comes to reestablished forgotten Dharma or principles of religion , 5000 years ago He did sk , and when He left after completing His purpose the question arose what happened to Dharma ? . Dharma is a living thing , through ethereal energies, it has a supervisory system , means , if one acts within Dharma, ones life is reasonably fulfilled and progressive elevation of consciousness takes place . If one acts against Dharma, one degrades one’s consciousness and becomes helplessly entangled in reactions and sufferings within material conditioning . The key to understanding the Bhagavatam is to gain knowledge and faith in Sanatana Dharma , that is the eternal occupation of the soul , and the symptom of the soul is consciousness .
Ultimately by following Dharma it takes us to a place where consciousness can thrive , where it is surrounded by consciousness energy , and not deteriating and fluctuating matter made of atomic particals . …….The sages who question Sukadeva Goswami in the Bhagavatam, were told that when Krishna leaves this world , after His activities, Dharma and all its directions take shape in the form of the Srimad Bhagavatam . Everything for mankind is contained within its pages , and the expert person Bhagavat , who is realised in the Bhagavatam, is able to extract and understand its mysteries, in any given time , place or circumstances . No matter who we are or what we are , progressive steps are chalked out for every section of society . It is said one who does wrong or suffers wrong is wrong , and Lord Krishna always favours good Brahminical councils who bring justice to all proceedings in administrations . In its absence, there is turmoil in society reflected in the current times . Today, we see unnecessary suffering and deliberate misguidance brought about by so-called leaders who are absolutely not fit to lead . One who studies the Srimad Bhagavatam will bring great security and wisdom to himself and a family . History , science, and religion are all essential ingredients to life , otherwise, mistaken ideas develop, leading to great misfortune. Wherever there is Krishna, there is always great fortune and victory. Krishna lies within all the pages of the Bhagavatam directly or indirectly.
Time in reality is an allocated period given to conscious beings who temporarily reside in a particular body for a given length of time . This time period is determined not only by physical laws of nature but also by unseen laws operating beyond the comprehension of scientific communities . Nobody has a clue, for instance, why the laws of time are affecting different species at different rates .
Nature originates from Krishna or Visnu ,according to the Vedas , every species of life or person is under specific strict time allocation . Scientists know quite a lot about the presence of all kinds of laws ,some they understand well others not so well , but we can safely say they cannot fathom the origins of these laws of why they hold firmly in place consistently. The Darwinians and scientific materialism speculators presume such events in nature are happening by somehow random chance events that began sometime in a distance past ,. But the obvious question is , in our experience laws and set order comes by design and intelligence. Thus it seems logical that the order and laws of the universal affairs may have a specific source . The Darwinian alternative that somehow or other these perfect laws of material nature formed and mysteriously maintain themselves seems absurd in real terms . Many prominent scientists, rebel against the concept of chance events being the ultimate cause , like Sir Fred Hoyle for instance , who could see clearly that the laws of nature are finely tuned , with perfect amounts of atoms and compound to make life possible , he was puzzled by the availability of so much carbon , which is essential for life , and why there should be so much of it in the universe , compared to other elements.
Law means lawmaker , that’s logic , and the Vedas give details of the fundermental principles of material nature, which incorporate the atomic and ethereal plane of existence , and it indicates its our minds and consciousness that are forced to identify with it and respond to it . In regards to how someone may know the details of the laws of time allocation, the head of this universe Bramha has inconceivable intelligence ,which has been alloted to him. As much as Einstein, Schrödinger or Bohr have inconceivable intelligence compared to the common man .
So Lord Bramha , the allocated engineer of this universe, transmits knowledge of all his scientific works to Narada Muni. He is no ordinary person , he was the Guru of Vyasadeva ,who was no ordinary person . He was the Guru of Sukadeva Goswami , who was no ordinary person , but the speaker of the Bhagavatam ..so one can say the origins of the knowledge of the Vedas and the universe are coming from beings and personalities beyond it . Divinity Himself is one and different from His material energies.
So, the science contained in summary form in the Bhagavatam stems ultimately from the engineer of universal affairs , and Lord Bramha transmits such knowledge to those that need to know and who have pure senses . Bramha was given the intelligence to carry out his work of creation and laying the foundations of the physical and subtle laws by Visnu Himself.
The universe is certainly most puzzling to the science community. The more they study it , the more complex it becomes , this includes the science of time, its inconceivable nature , and so as before said scientists do not understand why time works the way it does , as much as they cannot produce rna in the laboratory to 100 % purity , the way nature makes it , only 1% purity has been achieved in a laboratory setting . The Vedic system is to accept pure knowledge from the pure sound of the supreme intelligentsia. The origin of this pure knowledge is Lord Bramha, and as much as everyone is accepting knowledge from intelligent men and women , people like Richard Feynman , Einstein , Bohr , Schrödinger , Teller etc etc . so why not Lord Bramha ? And the persons he transmitted it to.
The very best scientist always say they know very little of the real details of the universe and its functioning. Unfortunately, some scientists will make bold declarations . Like the immature Darwinians who assume Darwinian evolutionary theory is fact based science Real scientific thinkers know it’s not . it’s at most a hypothesis .
In the great scheme of things we should always necessarily understand God is our greatest well wisher and is friendly.
While in the material world we have to deal with varieties of Karmic synchronicities , but we must learn to intelligently and utalising Dharma departmentalise our problems and issues , and not overly dwell on them .
Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur would say one should live minute by minute , day by day , but with the ultimate goal in mind the ” param gatim ” which is to keep developing our relationship with God and serve His interests and the interests of His family and friends.
