May the Supreme Lord, who is known as the son of Śrīmatī Śacī-devī be transcendentally situated in the innermost chambers of your heart. Resplendent with the radiance of molten gold, He has appeared in the Age of Kali by His causeless mercy to bestow what no incarnation has ever offered before: the most sublime and radiant mellow of devotional service, the mellow of conjugal love.
Srila Sanatana Goswami, when questioned about a concept of devotional service being eternal and yet Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu was introducing a new element or type of service that had never been given before , Srila Sanatana Goswami said , that you may or may not accept , but it’s a fact , the mood of Srimati Radharani and Her manjaris , the Parakiya rasa , was being relished by Caitanya Mahaprabhu for the first time and distributed for the first time . By the association of those who have acquired and relished such a Rasa, one can also. become attracted and relish it .
The wives of the brahmanas in the 10th Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam became attracted to Krishna in the same ways as the Gopies by association with them in the market places , we are told by Srila Visvanatha Cakravati Thakur Maharaja.
“Transcendentalists who are advanced in knowledge compare the body, which is made by the order of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to a chariot. The senses are like the horses; the mind, the master of the senses, is like the reins; the objects of the senses are the destinations; intelligence is the chariot driver; and consciousness, which spreads throughout the body, is the cause of bondage in this material world.
For a bewildered person in the materialistic way of life, the body, the mind and the senses, which are engaged in sense gratification, are the cause of bondage to repeated birth, death, old age and disease. But for one who is advanced in spiritual knowledge, the same body, senses, and mind are the cause of liberation.”
In the Caitanya Caritamrita Antya lila Chapter 15 .
Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s trancendental life is described, He is experiencing the deepest trancendental bliss and the emotions of ‘Suratarangani Srimati Radharani , Suratarangani means the great force of the River of Srimati Radharani’s love for Krishna , such a force is incomprehensible and factually the most powerful of all energies in the whole of the spiritual or material worlds.
Mahaprabhu , in the mood of Srimati Radharani , felt each of His five senses pulling Him towards Krishna . Each sense was competing with the other , a great trancendental madness came about , such is the beauty of Krishna that each of Mahaprabhu’s individual senses were forcibly compelled to act independently of the other senses , an uncontrollable eagerness like a raging river of attraction for Krishna came about in Him as Srimati Radharani feels . The Bhagavad Gita’s five uncontrollable horses of a conditioned soul were turned around , and the perfection of the spiritual sences of Srimati Radharani was exhibited . Because the purpose was to serve Krishna’s emaculate senses , giving exclusively only selfless pleasure to Krishna . It was like every ” atom ” was forcibly drawn towards its origins.
Thus, the Glorious lessons of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu were bestowed upon mankind.
The great enemy of the spiritualist …lust to enjoy the material world, anger when being thwarted, envy at those more successful at it , greed to aquire resources to do so …this is all madness and illusion of an original consciousness within matter and the pushing of the mind and senses it is subjected to . Krishna says, “Think of Me become My devotee….As you think of me, so I think of you .” Thus the power of pure trancendental meditation , God is existing in the absolute spiritual plane, when you think of Him and Radharani you are with Them , to the degree of the intensity and purity of your thoughts and service meditation. Rupa Goswami gives the full process of meditation , begins with chanting and hearing Gods names , then comes remembrance of lila , and specific lila and forms, then intensity of meditations etc etc . Everything has been revealed by Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu and has been recorded by the Goswami’s and spoken of by the Gaudia Vaisnava sampradaya acaryas. ..
Through service and submissions to those Gaudia Vaisnava sampradaya acaryas and ultimately through the trancendental sound of the Holy names , given to you by them , and through the messages of the Srimad Bhagavatam and elaborations of such scripts recorded and written by pure devotees , a gateway to the spiritual world is revealed . By good fortune, one may come in touch with such personalities , who on the order of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu wonder the globe .. Once hearing submissively from one of them, the whole of the param para is revealed .
If one is truely humble one can open up the whole world and the hearts of the great . In such a condition , if one so desires , some persons , with the right connections can enter into the spiritual planes . If not humble , but proud , one closes in on one’s self , depriving oneself of something truely remarkable that’s being offered freely ..to one and all ..
Mahaprabhu has said humility is key .. And through the Chanting of God’s name, one can learn to aquire such qualities , chanting is the means and the end , Srila Gour Govinda Swami would often say..
Who are leaders , the Bhagavatam and its social structures..
Policy and practices for organising the many different types of persons living in society broadly understood as , deep philosophical thinkers with sensitivity for the welfare of all , those who are full of valor understanding the need for justice and who want to protect societies members , there are those who are concerned with economic output and have liking of trade , industry and food production, and then those who are craftsman and trades men who essentially keep the wheels of the social machine running , everyone one these are discussed in the Srimad Bhagavatam as well as their specific qualifications. Each are to fulfil their potential , and according to set standards. For instance, The Srimad Bhagavatam demonstrates how productive fair and just systems for business enterprise and economics ,i.e. (standards and policies) might be drawn up by independent legislators who have everyone’s economic interests at heart . This enables a truly free market economy to flow, but that equally has all social responsibilities built in , with safeguards in place . The Bhagavatam shows how the general working man has his interests and needs met in full with support and care , employment, adequate healthy foods, housing and systematic education for family member , unlike today’s world with homeless persons and mass unemployment The four aspects of society were woven together and harmonized for the interests of society as a whole working in tandem with each other and it incorporated social cohesion and social mobility , with genuine respect because it was based on the wisdom of equality of consciousness , but differences of bodies . Primarily, the individual consciousness and well-being of the individual are the prominent objectives of the Bhāgavatam . Administrations , governance, and compliance were based on spiritual and consciousness cultures and not just the material bodies needs, which in conditioned life can be symptomised by an uncontrolled mind and senses . Unfortunately , irresponsible administrations who lack knowledge misguide populations and widespread teaching of ignorant values for lifes purposes and finding happiness are mistakingly given. Vedic society gives excellent guidance and opportunities to everyone , and sets standards for everyone to pursue. HIGHLIGHTED IN 4.21.44 GRATITUDE TOWARD THE LORD .AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE BEST OF QUALITIES …A CHIEF SYMPTOM IS COMPASSION FOR ALL PERSONS AND BEINGS, A WELL WISHER ,NO ENVY TOWARDS ANYTHING. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LEADERSHIP IS HIGHLIGHTED IN THE LIFE OF KING PRTHU.
Chasing only material goals , unadvisable says Bhagavatam.
The Bhagavatam shows clearly how chasing down mere material goals , opulences of all kinds , material education , prestige , fame and recognition , etc etc , can become a great stumbling block to ones real self interests , although anything done in connection with Divinity increases ones spiritual realisations . Duties of all kinds that are carried out in balanced ways and that lead to a full and satisfying life with progressive spiritual steps and culture of knowledge should never be given up . Everyone has something to offer within the various social systems that are referred to in the Vedas as Varna Ashram social structures . Everything , including one’s very self , can be offered in a devotional sacrifice , in many number of ways , that boost one inner energies and well-being, bringing one ultimately to pure God consciousness. Many directions are given in the Bhagavatam, which links one to Divinity and please Divinity . When Divinity is pleased, one automatically becomes pleased , such is the dealings of love .
Although modern societies currently teach satisfaction of our material mind and senses are the goal of life , and helping others do the same , currently super liberalism is in vogue , it teaches …what ever the mind and senses demand , serve them immediately and without question. But the Bhagavatam disagrees and condemns such irrational, unregulated behaviour . it rather teaches such unregulated materialism is a great whirlpool of degradation and entrapments . Such entrapment actually operates ultimately under the full control of Divinity and is within the realms of the given free will , along with determinism , i.e., reactions within a supreme justice system . The material world is a prescribed rehabilitation centre . It’s a self-imposed prison , instigated by an individuals own conscious actions , and engineered by Divinity . The Bhagavatam explains how such actions within matter are connected to the universal order automated in both the macro and micro worlds . The Vedas call this the great Maha Tattva , the great universal form of Divinity consisting of millions of galaxies as well as the 1000’s of nano machines working in every cell of a body coded with specific information .
THE 4TH CANTO CHAPTER 22 DESCRIBES THE ADVICE OF THE FOUR KUMARAS .TEXT 23 INDICATES AVOIDING OVERLY ATTACHED MONEY MEN AND AMBITIOUS MATERIALISTS ,INSTEAD ONE SHOULD TASTE THE NECTAR OF LOVE OF GOD .
What is your worldview, and just how was it formed and who has helped shape it ? Generally, of course you’re going to find many influences that make up your consciousness outlook , and the Vedas tell as , it’s not solely dependent on this one life . The contribution of family , friends, an educational system, your philosophical learning ,your theological pursuits , and the arts of all description will also shape your world veiw .One should ask oneself whether the teachers and various other influences that shaped your world veiw have been beneficial , and what kinds of impressions have they left, has everything been presented objectively or with subjective bias , many deceptive people live in our world so its healthy to take a step back and take a fresh look at sciences of all kinds as well as philisophical thinking and theologies. Political matters should not take the major portion of our time .
Many educated people think they have been trained in objective critical thinking for instance , but often, in reality, they look at the world and sciences through the prison house of subjective conditioning , taught to them by other subjective teachers , who are highly speculative. Science, for instance, should always be presented in objective ways and can never be presented as fact based when, in reality, it’s subjective opinions . Scientific materialism and Darwinian world veiws dominant the world , but they are based on guessing and the evidence of the origins of consciousness lay elsewhere.
When it comes to matters of philosophies, traditions , liberalism , or conservatism , plus family values , we should know liberal democracies consist of many, many unqualified persons supposedly making better policy . Whereas the benefits of one good, strong autocratic leader working with his chosen team ,who are all truely dedicated to all of society and who objectively make calculations based on science and consciousness will result in a completely different priorities, the world view of scientific materialism and the Darwinians or one who knows consciousness in a different way .
Freedoms and choices are important, and the world veiw of the truely intelligent utalise such Freedoms.
Fortunately , a previously untapped source is currently available and that resource is increasingly available and increasing in volume , day by day , the Vedas .

Gods intentions for everyone is to achieve the very best of what life has to offer , and in doing so the explorations of the individual being carries on life after life , one small snippet of time is not enough time to achieve something as great as pure consciousness that is motivated only in pure love and sacrifice. Giving oneself for the pleasure of others is the perfection of the highest states that consciousness can achieve , and the most expert at this is God Himself .When such a sacrifice is performed for someone who feels the same way must ecstatic bliss occures , this is something each of us deep within search for knowingly or unknowingly. There are different levels of cultured consciousness, thus nothing is ever lost in doing good in exchanging love with someone , automatically your next life will feel such depths of love arise again , and gradually one may get the opportunity to realise the highest of all exchanges of trancendental love , that of Radha Krishna , and Their family and friends , descriptions of that love is given by Rupa Goswami in his literatures, along with other acaryas . “All occupational engagements, or dharmas, are certainly meant for ultimate liberation. They should never be performed for material gain. Furthermore, one who is engaged in the ultimate occupational service, or dharma, should never use material gain to cultivate sense gratification.”
This particular verse highlights the greatest of cultures , far from Western materialism , it points to the significance of every person and gives value to them , the Greatness of God is that He assigns absolute importance to every living being . In the above verse, the method of how everyone can live their lives in positive therapeutic ways and benefit themselves is given . Living life to the full in rich and rewarding ways , with inner nourishment , satisfied minds, as well as the senses being satisfied in balanced ways ,
Material satisfaction of the sences is required by all living beings , and humans are no different , but the human is meant for something far greater . The Vedic Culture was designed in such a way to give educational experiences for everyone that were linked to every aspect of life , opening up an untapped inner resource for enrichment of consciousness and peace of mind . All varieties and aspects of educational cultures , the arts, various sciences , math , social sciences etc etc . were , at every stage of life , united with the progressive and ongoing experience of sharing , living, loving and it was centred around somehow or another connecting persons to help them experience the source of all living and loving , who is known at Rasaraja, Krishna.
Like an artists pallet, society is of mixed colours , but a process of bringing pure systematic knowledge in progressive ways as well as painting the perfect picture of a harmonious society was the responsibility of the qualified intelligensia . Those who were Proffesors in the science of self realisation and who knew well the therapeutic methods of linking material sciences to spiritual ones for the benefits of one and all.
This means having knowledge of what’s good and what’s harmful. In Vedic terms, Vidya and Avidya . Knowledge means this .

In the 5th Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam, we can hear of the activities of Maharaja Priyavrata .
Although a renunciant , he was instructed by Lord Bramha to rule the universe and engage in family life . He was to enjoy his karmic position and at the same time serve the purposes of Divinity. Lord Bramha assured him that would please Krishna.
For many years, he enjoyed family life and the association of his wife and family with great opulences , and he properly administered his responsibility in guiding society , repelling those who sought to spread ignorance and encouraging progression in everyone’s lives , whilst enjoying family life.
After many years of duties, he began to think himself unnecessarily entangled in mundane duties and family life. Thus, he made plans for a more detached situation so he could increase his meditation on Krishna and made plans to leave his family life behind , leaving his sons to take up administration.
In modern times , we can consider as young devotees we are to assist with ISKCON or any other preaching mission and give our time energies and skills in dedicated services and at the same time , we can enjoy family affairs and our alloted karmic position.
But in much older age , we should apply ourselves less to family affairs and much more to deep bhajan , giving up aspirations in the material world for ourselves or family , following the example of Rupa Ragganatha and Mahaprabhu . We can allow younger devotees to take on management of missionary activities and the ongoing mission and retire and influence the mission in different ways , but most importantly actually aquire a spiritual body by meditation and the process of smaranam , fixing minds on forms and pastimes and aspiring to serve those that are eternally engaged in those activities , our acaryas in recent times and millions of years ago set that example.
