  • Keep on digging …

    Apr 1st, 2025

Someone suggested, “Keep digging, and science will find the truth …”
    But ..
With the endlessly mutable material energies that could be difficult, the cyclic motions of the volcanic eruptions that replenish the richness of the oceans that provide plankton with nourishment is essential . Replenishing is going on on many levels , everything in nature is in constant flux .
The decending process of knowledge, i.e., insights and wisdom , based on purity of consciousness and an honest quest for knowledge is an important method for acquisition of truths and should not be dismissed . Beethoven himself wondered how his musical compositions flowed into him , why just music . The wisdom of all kinds of traditions, along with their histories, are worthy to explore , theological, and otherwise .
Soley relying on a fragile and speculative and limited intelligence has its limitations . Unfortunately, in todays world, it is regarded as the only credible method, and it’s masquerading as the only fact based science. In reality , although it has its purpose, even in Vedic circles, i.e., jnana yoga , some things may be beyond the abilities of the intellectual capabilities . As Newton said whilst on a beach , I have one grain of sand of knowledge, but the whole of the  world sands stands  before me …..something like that . The value of objective science and logical truth should never be replaced by subjective speculations , for instance, no one now denies the highly organised and highly complex cell , and it has hundreds of nano like protein machines all serving special purposes.  Darwin thought the cell was like a mutable cloud or jelly like substance. The reality is that the more science looks into workings of the universe or the microbial world, the more astounded they are at its organisation and what is increasingly looking like designed engineering.

  • Harmonized social systems

    Apr 1st, 2025

The Vedas and its multicultural approach to every political group , an all-encompassing vision .

In history, we find many political battles and  nations fighting for one reason or another , the fighting between the left and the right , between capitalism and communism etc etc .

But the Vedic cultures identify  varieties of people living in varieties of ways , according to their predisposed natures . The Vedas recognise the different outlook’s of people and although all men are equal , same time due to karmic states and varieties of mentalities , everyone has to be accommodated , facilitated and helped along to lead progressive and happy lives in different ways . Numerous types of faiths and numerous goals of particular people’s are inevitable and discussed by Krishna in His Bhagavad Gita.  There was no question of dictatorships but rather structures with varieties of laws and justice systems with  different expectations from different types of persons.

Ultimately, for societies to knit together properly, it takes very broad thinkers with detailed and all incorporating types of  intelligence , not unthinking fanatics . One thing that was always in place  in Vedic Cultures was the head . Societies were taken like a body,  head , arms , belly, and legs . Societies must have the most thoughtful and intelligent people leading them . The Vedas tell us about the different types of intelligences that will be functioning in social administrations and recommend the most suitable types  for the social , scientific  , philosophical , economic, and spiritual education .  Each of which is applied in a myriad of ways in prescribed ways , one glove does  not fit all .

In the vedas part are designated as the puranas , 18 puranas , six  for people in goodness  , six  for people in passion six  for people in ignorance . Krishna tells us in Bhagavad Gita of the different types of persons and faiths and how they are best administered to .

  • If you wish upon a star .

    Mar 31st, 2025

    Consciousness and the genome .

Consciousness causing  genes or genes causing consciousness ?

The Darwinians suppose that your genes cause the particular consciousness that you exhibit , and to an extent that can be accepted due to being given a body by a prescriptive method. However, that tells but a partial story , the journey of how we come to  accept  a particular body can be long and complex, and our past , present, and futures are involved . The conscious beings are always accompanied by one of the unlimited expansions of Divinity , the highly complex  “self selection process ” along with incalculable informational exchanges provides the guidance mechanism towards particular types of genes that programme the ACTG to form a particular body . In Bhagavad  Gita Krishna indicates that in many verses He is the knower of all bodies, and he knows the ” field ” of activities that the body will experience. Although independent of parents on one level , on the subtle  level ,  the Vedas say  , the living beings in human form share percentages of the subtle energies of our parents . The energy of mind and consciousness has not  been addressed  by the mechanistic Darwinians , who seem to conveniently ignore such matters , assuming neurons by chance cause complex consciousness conditioning as well as incredibly creative forces within some people’s intelligence . The Vedas and  other cultures indicate consciousness and matter as two entirely separate energies . So we are dealing with developing bodies as well  as  minds ,with an  awarded intellectual power .

According to the Vedas,  nothing is happening by chance events,  but rather by design,  Bhagavad Gita tells us we have to take responsibility for our designated lot .

Although on one level everyone is equal, as the founding fathers of the USA quite rightly cast into the USA constitution, in other ways  there are obviously massive variations within the material bodies , minds  and intellects, and circumstances one is  born into . Everything in people’s lives is different, and every one of us is  totally unique. The encouraging aspect to Vedic cultures is that we are  dynamic in so many ways  and are  never static or fixed . We should never feel conditioned or stuck . Rather always moving,  in one direction or another .  So, social mobility and progress are  always waiting to be tapped into by anybody . No one should ever feel trapped in particular bodies  or  minds . As the old song goes ” If you wish upon a star, it makes no difference who you are” that’s a very Vedic concept , sung by Judy Garland

So, by karmic synchronicities, one aquires a particular body and particular circumstances . It’s a temporary fleeting turn of events . The idea is to solve the real problem . Birth , death , old age , and disease , and not to get overly attached to happiness or distress of this one life , which come and go like the winter and summer seasons.

Making advances toward  knowledge , solving  once and for all  the real problems of life , instead of solely  spending ones time building  up kingdoms that  will  inevitably collapse, is  encouraged in Vedic culture .  Neglecting to ask where we came from and where  we  are going and surrendering our intelligence to the speculative Darwinian is not really very intelligent.

  • Utalising sound ,thoughts ,words, and matter in transformational ways .

    Mar 30th, 2025

The whole process of Krishna consciousness is transformational , and the full principle of yukta viragya comes into play . Just add Krishna to your already existing life .
One should be Bearing in mind that the Vedas indicates  the material universes are built on the transformed and devolved Brahman energy , otherwise known as spiritual light . The  effulgence and energies of God , which serve  multifarious  purposes,  are non different to Him and multidimensional in makeup.
Instant communication  as well as  transportation faster than the speed of light are puzzling concepts . Not to the Vedic students , who understand that a  mind provides instant transportation . Now ,because the Brahman effulgence spreads throughout the multidimensional universes , and has been in some cases transformed into mater ,its part of  Divinity Himself , He  is fully conscious of every part of it , so  not a blade of grass moves without Him being conscious of it . Instant communication means Divinity knows everything instantaneously about His extensive energies as much as we know what’s going on within our own bodies .
When anyone uses anything in the service of God , such as sound , litratures , any of the elements of matter , or our minds , or  intelligence , because of being used  in connection with Divinity as an offering to Him  it directly connects our consciousness to  the consciousness of Divinity . By following the directions of the previous transcendental Proffesors , who have all  given  expert directions of how .
    At that point , the….”I ” “me “, and ” mine” changes .
The purified concept of…. “I am a part and parcel of God begins to develop.  Further, one can realise God and His associates are my family , in the sense that I belong with them exclusively.
The consciousness is changed. Everything we do and see is transformed and  will  remind us of Divinity and transport us immediately to the spiritual world.
When Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada or any pure devotee stands before the Marble Deity , he stands before Krishna Himself . When he reads the Krishna Lila recorded by the Goswami’s or other renowned acaryas, he enters  into the spiritual and trancendental topics .When he chants Gods name or recites the Bhagavatam, he is within the spiritual world. This is the experience of a top most ‘ Uttama ‘  devotee .
The material sounds and actions  reverberate and take one into much  further entanglements , of which there are many possibilities . However, when spiritual actions are performed, matter can be and is transformed. For example, if you heat up iron in fire, it acts like fire , someone may say , no, it’s iron , we say touch it , it is like fire .

The more gold is kept in fire, the purer it becomes. If the student keeps themselves in the fire of Krishna consciousness, everything can be gradually transformed, and the so-called matter transports one instantaneously to spiritual consciousness.  Thus, all God’s energies are spiritual in one sense and transformational each interacts with the other ….

In regards to the current world view of our so-called leaders …

A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Such fact-supported theories are not “guesses” but reliable accounts of the real world.

What body of facts have the Darwinians got .?

Has their hypothesis been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. ?

    Are the Darwinians guessing. ?

They have no real facts. Nothing is repeatedly confirmed , they are guessing .
Objective reality….?, they have a failing hypothoisis ,
Unguided chance mutations and scientific materialism as a world model that’s driving the modern world in harmful and exploitative . It needs replacing with the consciousness revolution . Dualism has far-reaching implications and changes every calculation . Consciousness studies must be learned from those who realise the oneness of all beings in the huge array of diversities and not from the  so called religious but  uneducated, and unthinking fanatic who fails to see a  multicultured world along with various theistic cultures .

  • Those twelve who really know the goal of the Vedas .

    Mar 29th, 2025

The mature Vedic scholar knows the Vedas are extremely broad and are able to comprehend concisely and expertly the various applications according to time place and circumstance that are contained. As for example,  Vedas contain and  include  eighteen puranas and of those ,  six are  for those persons firmly situated goodness , six for those in the somewhat endless material activities in passion, and finally there are six for those who live in darkness , intoxicated with wines and meat eating , described as the mode of  ignorance . These puranas advise and give systematic applications and lifestyle recommendations for progression in spiritual knowledge to all those groups of people. So it is concluded that the Vedic knowledge ultimately encourages everyone towards the association of those persons who know the ” param Gatim ” the ultimate and real purposes of life and its full potentials and the Vedic intelligensia set methods of a social and spiritual progression for one and all .It’s goal  is to help society understand consciousness and learn to love God in any one of His features and forms . The puranas are meant to take us beyond any material benedictions for wealth  or a thirst for knowledge for the sake of knowledge and beyond mystic powers or liberation.

The real goal is clear , a  pure loving relationship and  friendship and service to Divinity , Lord Krishna , nothing else will ultimately satisfy the soul . Every one of us is  deep down  hankering and searching  for happiness, and we want to avoid suffering.  So , either knowingly or unknowingly, Divinity is sought after, and those who know this truth are to be contacted.

The “twelve mahajanas” who  are considered the greatest devotees of Vishnu, and are listed in the Srimad-Bhagavatam as Brahma, Narada, Shiva, the Four Kumaras, Kapila, Svayambhuva Manu, Prahlada, Janaka, Bhishma, Bali, Sukadeva Gosvami, and Yamaraja.

Here’s a more detailed look at each of the twelve mahajanas:

    • Brahma: The creator of the universe.
    • Narada: A great devotee who travels the universe, glorifying the Lord.
    • Shiva: A great demigod, a spiritual master, and a devotee of Vishnu.
    • The Four Kumaras: Four sages who are known for their renunciation and devotion.
    • Kapila: A great sage and son of Devahuti.
    • Svayambhuva Manu: The first man and the father of humanity.
    • Prahlada: A devotee who was persecuted for his faith but remained steadfast in his devotion to Vishnu.
    • Janaka: A king known for his knowledge and devotion.
    • Bhishma: A great warrior and devotee who remained loyal to his vows even in the face of death.
    • Bali: A king known for his generosity and devotion to Vishnu.
    • Sukadeva Gosvami: A great sage who taught the Srimad-Bhagavatam to Parikshit.
    • Yamaraja: The Lord of Death, who is also a devotee of Vishnu.
    • The Gaudia Vaisnava sampradaya represents all these truths

  • Time

    Mar 29th, 2025

Time is calculated in so many ways in the Vedas, anything from the Mahakalpa , the breath of Mahavisnu to the Truti 30 thousandth of a second .

The engineer of this universe lives for 311 trillion years , and during this time, parts of the universe are rested , then rebooted .

As time goes on, four ages turn in cyclic movements .

Satya yoga , 1.8 million years , Treta yoga,  1.3 million years Dvarpa yoga 864,000 years ……Kali yoga 432,000 thousand years .

71 of these cycles turn, which represents the life on Manu , who is supervising the universe.

There are 14 Manus in one day of the Original engineer Lord Bramha .

    Further

In the higher planetary systems, our six months is like their one day

And in the planetary systems of the supervising Demigods, our one year is equivalent to their day and night .

On our planet, we see time as relevant to individuals , for instance, a Mayfly lives for one night , or a dog lives 15 years a human 80 years , but they feel their lives full .

It was Albert Einstein who said time is relevant , and he is right, but the details of the differences and thd  relativity are all calculated in the Vedas .

Another thing Einstein spoke on is the space time continuum , and the Vedas indicates that anything one does in a past , present, or future are interconnected and can instantly react with each other.

Thus, Karmic synchronicities are at play throughout the whole universal system .

  • Covered , shrunken , budding , blooming, fully blossoming

    Mar 28th, 2025

Unlike the Darwinians who consider consciousness as chance events of neurons firing in the brain originating from a primordial slime , the  Vedas take an analytical look at consciousness within matter and  clearly demonstrate  consciousness being different  from  the gross and subtle influences that matter imposes upon it . The Vedas shows the path of  freedom  from the shackles of material existence and all its accompanying misery , birth , death , old age , disease,  misery arising from the mind , other living beings or nature itself.

Bohr , Schrödinger , Feynman , Teller, and Einstein also as physicists  examined consciouseness within the  responsive universe, one can say the Copenhagen agreement suggests that.  Unlike the gross biologists , the physicists look  at life’s  fundermentals in entirely different ways .

The Vedic terms for states of consciousness are ….ana maya, pranna maya , jnana maya , vijnana maya, and ananda maya .

In English terms, these can be compared to a flower throughout its life , first covered consciousness,  then shrunken consciousness, then budding consciousness, then blossoming consciousness, then fully blooming consciousness.

The animals and other various creatures are  categorised ,  they are considered to have covered consciousness, anu maya , and   the unthinking human who is living like a sophisticated animal without any philosophical position is in shrunken consciousness , pranna maya . The human who considers life and its purpose correctly in terms of having a philosophical outlook are considered to be in budding consciousness , jnana maya . The human who has realised to. some degree of the glory of consciousness in connections to Divinity is in blossoming consciousness , vijnana maya .  Finally, the human who has established a relationship in love with God is in fully blossoming consciousness. Ananda maya .

So literally, the science of consciousness and self realisation has been summarised, and each of these categories is  given a thorough analysis, and  progressive and systematic steps are given by various Vedic thinkers and teachers . Those steps are recommended according to specific stages of life , to suit . This enables and empowers everyone in their consciousness ,  thus step by step guidance . One should seek an expert who is in Ananda maya consciousness to help , or any person who is further progressed than ourselves will help by association.

  • International Society for Varna Ashram and Krishna consciousness.

    Mar 27th, 2025

Listening to the  lecture at Conway Hall in London in the 1970s , given by Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on the Introduction to Sri Isopanisad .
Prabhupada emphasis in parts is the absolute importance of Varna Ashram . He also brings to our attention the importance of establishing the Vedas and its truths , both relative and absolute .The Sankirtana movement that Prabhupada has introduced has core and peripheral aspects,  Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu appeared for that purpose.
AC Bhaktivedanta Swami says we are not Hindu but members of the Varna Ashram.
The real key to Varna Ashram of course is establishing the spiritual intelligensia who naturally are looked up to as  advisors .The  administrative class need this input , who filter the directions down through  valuable governance and compliance systems to one and all . Progressive social and spiritual mobility in systematic ways for mankind  within their alloted environments are fully contained within the Vedas .
Srila AC Bhavtivedanta Swami Prabhupada , Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami Maharaja, and Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur were well acquainted with all the truths of the Vedas and desired to  seriously introduce these  within society’s worldwide. It will incorporate approaches to all the  political , social , economic , and scientific matters as well as  cultural aspects, including art . Who is not fascinated by the depths of India , including its fashions , arts and music , such cultures can be infused into already existing cultures , which are in reality , and in many cases originating from the Vedas , there are many forgotten histories , and history writers are very often bias and employed by rascal leaders .

Ultimately, if we are serious about assisting these  acaryas, we need to set up think tanks to study different aspects of the Vedas and see how they can be applied to time place and circumstances. All good governance systems incorporate think tanks and long-term planning…
Such think tanks may  take years to come to balanced findings . we are serious to assist our acaryas we need to set up think tanks to study different aspects of the Vedas and see how they can be applied to time place and circumstances.

Ultimately as Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Swami would say following the words of Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Goswami Maharaja,  its a question of adjustment . The conversation with Ramananda Raya with Mahaprabhu shows everything has its place , but that  we should not  be stagnant and attached , we must progress beyond Varna Ashram .

This is confirmed by the six Goswamis of Vrndavana.

I offer my respectful obeisances unto the six Gosvāmīs, who are very expert in scrutinizingly studying all the revealed scriptures with the aim of establishing eternal religious principles for the benefit of all human beings. Thus, they are honoured all over the three worlds, and they are worth taking shelter because they are absorbed in the mood of the gopis and are engaged in the transcendental loving service of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.

  • Well wishers

    Mar 26th, 2025

    Offerings to the forefathers.

For years, I have been walking through Bushey church , and one can not help but notice a particularly well maintained grave , surrounded by flowers and other paraphernalia . It always strikes me the 52 year old mother , whose grave it is , is still receiving love and good wishes from her family.

The Vedas recommends offering sacrifices to the Demigods on behalf of relatives who have left this world  , for appeasing the Demigods and pleading on behalf of relatives will  bring  good or better fortune to the  departed .

It’s highly beneficial in life  to have friends, family, and genuine well wishers of all kinds  . However, the greatest well wisher  the Vedas says are  the pure devotees of God .  By their good wishes and auspicious directions ,  all inauspiciousness is removed from one’s turbulent life , and karma is  eradicated . By the supreme good fortune offered by them , and by serving and enquiring from them , these  greatest of well wishers can ,  because of their intimate and pleasing services to Divinity ,  persuade God to accept us , and bestow upon us causeless mercy . Thus, by the pure devotees’ grace, we can be placed in the spiritual realms. http://www.thevedicspectator.com
