Your mind can take you back in time , you can be present with your current experience, or the mind can take you to your future , whatever state the mind is in at death determines your next birth . Yoga means to make your mind a friend. Excessive materialism makes it an enemy
Bhagavad Gita 6th chapter specifically homes in in the mind , the ethereal mind and its impressions are carried over from previous experiences and even lives , the original spiritual body has a mind , thinking feeling and willing is the business of a mind
The advanced spiritualist is very expert in ignoring the mind as placing it where he or she wants it to be .
That takes a great deal of practice. But it can be done if one makes an effort.
The question is not to artificially control a mind , but rather in a therapeutic way place is naturally in a positive place ,
The best place according to all theological texts is to fix the mind gradually and naturally on Divinity either directly or indirectly, if the direct path is not acceptable or one is not initially qualified , some purification maybe needed before the mind will respond , knowledge and detachment are required to be successful.
“While pantheism asserts that “all is God, “panentheism claims that God is greater than the universe. Some versions of panentheism suggest that the universe is nothing more than the manifestation of God , this way of thinking is popular with impersonal philosophically minded people, including Albert Einstein, who thought in that way as do many scientific community members . In addition to this thinking , other philosophically minded persons have indicated that the universe is contained within God , but that God is outside as well .
Let’s see what the Vedas say.
The very first verse of the Srimad Bhagavatam gives us the full understanding of Divinity. He has unlimited expansions , and is directly and indirectly conscious of every aspect of creation , He is indeed inside, outside, near but far , the smallest but the greatest .He is everywhere but nowhere. Such is His trancendental form which has no limits imposed upon it , God does not need to learn anything, He is the origins and the totality of all knowledge, not a blade of grass moves without Him knowing. In quantum physics, it’s called instant communication .
His descent to the material realms are described in the Vedas. A complete list of the different types of Avatars and incarnations are referred to as well as their individual purposes . It is stated that as many waves there are in the oceans , there are the same quantities of incarnations in one firm or another of Divinity and more . There are millions of material universes. Thus, incarnations can be understood in the context of how many universes exist . There are also multidimensional aspects we can not with our limited senses see all things .
But as a summary and a general understanding, the first verse of the Bhagavatam offers us this.
O my Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, son of Vasudeva, O all-pervading Personality of Godhead, I offer my respectful obeisances unto You. I meditate upon Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa because He is the Absolute Truth and the primeval cause of all causes of the creation, sustenance and destruction of the manifested universes. He is directly and indirectly conscious of all manifestations, and He is independent because there is no other cause beyond Him. It is He only who first imparted the Vedic knowledge unto the heart of Brahmājī, the original living being. By Him even the great sages and demigods are placed into illusion, as one is bewildered by the illusory representations of water seen in fire, or land seen on water. Only because of Him do the material universes, temporarily manifested by the reactions of the three modes of nature, appear factual, although they are unreal. I therefore meditate upon Him, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who is eternally existent in the transcendental abode, which is forever free from the illusory representations of the material world. I meditate upon Him, for He is the Absolute Truth.
The understanding is that Divinity is everywhere, but nowhere He is inside and outside. How can this be ? It’s due to His specific relationships . Although He is everywhere and neutral , same time , He specifically reveals Himself in His fullness to His specific devotees in different circumstances , this is according to how the devotees relate with Him . He says in the Bhagavad Gita, “As you do, my worship and think of me , I do your think of you and commune with you . . Or as you relate to me , so I relate to you . In the highest of spiritual circles , Divinity or Krishna exhibits his most complete form , the sweetness of Divinity is understood through love for Him . Love and understanding is important everywhere. The most mature spiritual thinkers take their trancendental position , behind the prominent eternal devotees who reside in Vrndavana . We can not possibly stand before Dhira Lalita Krishna , says Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada , ” we would burn up,” so intense is the pure love and spiritual rasa , so stand behind his intimate friends, family or lovers .
Actually, even in this material world, there are some incredible personalities , and and even they are somewhat unfathomable . What to speak of Radha Krishna Nitya Lila and the spiritual kingdoms.
The Goswamis ‘of Vrndavana and their writings gives us an insight into these spiritual realms, and Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur, in his purports of the book of Ragganathha das Goswamis called ” Mana Siksa ” says we should regard the Goswamis as our own personal Siksa Gurus.
The USA and Amazon have banned the book by a Russian professor . He discusses extreme individualism . Ie , extreme lefty liberal new fangled cultures and where that extreme individuality can take those the embrace it. or take society as a whole , being influenced by democratic processes , along with mass media companies that promote it . As opposed to the benefits of conformity, to family ,cultures, and traditions , and ancient philosophical and theological thinking along with lifestyle, there are unlimited benefits of conformity , which unfortunately are out of vogue. Ultimately, extreme individualism or extreme conformity should be avoided. Take the examples of extreme capitalism or extreme communism , or someone following a religious leader who doesn’t follow his scripts or previous teachers . Ultimately one must be an individual , be encouraged to do so , one should never surrender a God-given intelligence, but one should educate oneself on thd deep values of conformity and understand , conformity leads to real freedom and following a whimsical mind and flickering intelligence binds and links one to a continuous cycle of thre consequences of ill thought out lifestyles . Healthy balance of free thinking and conformity is the Vedic way
The Goverdhana lila pastimes of the Lord Krishna and Indra are important and instructive in many different ways . Indra is forever getting himself in trouble throughout the Srimad Bhagavatam , depicting someone who is a devotee but who is plagued by personal desire and ambition along with pride . Unbelievable it is , that he became so puffed up with false pride , the great enemy within of everyone , he even tried to kill Krishna and Krishna’s family and friends , the lesson is very clear , puffed up proud people become so intoxicated with endless lust to enjoy, that ultimately, those with opulance and resouce will be prepared to kill ruthlessly , the Goverdhana lila displays this pastime .Unfortunately, currently, in the world, we have people worse than Indra , they have recourse, power , and money, but they are completely Godless , the worse combination.
Materialistic devotees have a strong independent enjoying spirit , driven by passion , they do not have pure devotion towards Krishna , yet still , they are devotees.
We can learn from them how to not be sakarma devotees.( mixed devotees) , but try to humbly progress in devotion with a cooperative spirit.
In dealing with Indra , and we should take note. anyone who transgresses moral, ethical, or religious behaviour , should have the principles of mercy above justice shown to them , as an option , as Krishna did to Indra .
Of course, how to apply such judicial matters is in the hands of highly trained intelligent fair minded persons with generous hearts , but also knowledge of the benefits of rehabilitation.
Throughout theological texts in highly cultured civilisations Forgiveness and mercy are prominent in judicial affairs.
Unless one develops that spirit, it’s not a civilised or cultured society, but rather primitive and backwards looking .
Nityananda prabhu epitomises mercy above justice and comes to give the highest realisations of spiritual truths to the lowest of people , excusing all previous committed ills .
The Supreme Goddess of fortune Srimati Radharani shows the example .Even in the material world, we find borrowed plumes , it is well known that the wife is the better half of the husband. She cares for the husbands welfare and brings compassion care and understanding into family affairs . In rendering services to one who is qualified , because of the extraordinary quality of love , dedication , and sacrifice, a greater pleasure is experienced for the giver of love , and the origins of this stem from the spirtual realms and Srimati Radharani. In Vedic Culture as well as other theological cultures, this true principle is taught, although today this is not understood as men seek to exploit the ladies and the ladies exploit the men , such is western liberal materialism based on sense pleasure , with little understanding of the cultivation of higher consciousness .
Men also have to play their part and become qualified and learn how to dutifully carry out all activities , along with the cultivation of qualities fitting of a real man who seeks to unite with a woman such as understanding how to set the perfect example for the family and also connecting to Divinity, which is the ultimate duty .
The idea that women should somehow not volunteer to take up this wonderful and educational role in family life giving themselves over to development of every aspect of family life , and they should only be career women , springs from misunderstanding of the women’s superior role that is so essential in societies , and in so doing, the family unit remains strong and especially the children benefit. Ignoring cultures , traditions, and instructive theological lessons, modern women are taught not to take up this submissive and cooperative roll , for fear of being used and not having opportunity for other interests , but in Vedic culture women ran communities and worked in so many ways . A ladies’ role is never inferior , but rather superior , and they were very much respected by men .
Having a service attitude in healthy ways toward those who value it is elevating and progressive.
So, in terms of the deeper consciousness and the experience of love with a soft heart and happily volunteer service, the heart of a woman is often superior to men .
The Vedic philosophical goal is to get the individual to express individuality not independently, but in conformity with the Divine individual who is most expert at harmonising all individual expressions of bliss & love , thus the truth of simultaneously one and different is born . Srila Jiva Goswami says in His Tattva Sandarbha , God has made the impossible possible by expanding Himself and allowing these expansions individuality and free will .
This individual spirit is a special benediction, especially when the tiny individual comes in touch and is able to share in the consciousness of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
In modern politics, neo liberalism is becoming popular, but voluntary services to other individuals or camps or communities are far superior and rewarding experiences.
Actually, the whole material universe with the 8,400,000 different species of life is designed for those wishing to express their individuality outside of Divinity , the karmic synchronicity is in motion and one can endlessly wonder in a variety of bodies with vanity , that is a supreme individuals right that has been granted by Divinity , as much as the founding fathers of USA grants rights and freedoms. Although, of course, in USA ‘ s case , its a sham .
The Darwinions miss the no guessing bit in their scientific theory analysis. Anyhow, this world is a place where we can convince ourselves of absolutely anything . Even when presented with hard facts , some still find it difficult to make the logical choice or accept them .
When smoke appears in the distance , an argumentative person may wish to convince themselves that no fire is present. Free will often means live temporarily in a subjective cocoon , these are all the arrangements of the illusory energies of Divinity . It’s a very, very strong force . But one day , by some good fortune arising.. One one can burst out and experience a super subjective reality and objectively see the material world for what it is , a place of ever changing and fleeting moments as inevitable time moves on . Our consciousness within is being subjected to experiences imperceptibly caused by a series of events long forgotten , such karmic synchronicity is caused by ourselves , and Divinity, being the cause of all causes, is engineering all facilities and subtle impressions.
Krishna in His Bhagavad Gita gives the most thorough analysis of the truth of our situation , Where the complexities of karmic synchronicity are played out in the relative world of duality , love ,hate like , dislike etc , everyone is forced by nature to live temporarily in a subjective cocoon , and practically speaking that can be for millions of lives , or even eternally, it’s up to our choices, choices handed to us by Divinity, because Divinity is understanding and knowing we desire them .
The origins of the compatibility, attraction , joy , and mixed emotions of male and female companies originates in Divinity. He is always accompanied by the original Goddess of Fortune or one of Her expansions. The Vedas indicate. God was one and became two , Radha Krishna, then the original one. Krishna expanded and became many , the origins of all the living beings.
It is also said in the Vedas that the conjugal loving affairs between Divinity and His Lovers are of two kinds , technically called Svakiya and Parakiya, one type of lover is , like a youthful secret love. the other more formal like a marriage, there are aspects described in the tenth Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam of these affairs and it’s fully elaborated upon by those various devotees, in other writing, they who have entered into service of the romantic servitors of Krishna , for instance in Rupa Goswami’s writing he says Divinity is analysed by experts in Parakiya Rasa , that He takes on 96 different mellows., or loving exchanges , in His personality when engaging in loving affairs .
An all-important aspect to consider is that one should never make the mistake of thinking , krishna has a mundane material body like a conditioned soul , neither His lovers. They all have , ever new, ever enthusiastic and increasing attractions , which know no end. an eternal youthful attraction , in spiritual forms, not made of atoms or elements. A comparison between top quality cut diamonds and cut glass can never be applied. Looks similar, but quality and worth are incomparable.
Those who are naturally attracted to the fascinating experiences of romantic and romantic affairs should drop the cut glass and pick up diamonds
The Vedas indicate the total universe is currently approx .155 trillion years old . According to the different elements of Vedic time calculations , parts of our universe are temporarily devastated and practically destroyed but only to be rebooted after a 4.5 billion rest period . Another 4.5 billion year stretch begins ,this cyclic movement lasts for 311 trillion years .The process of rebooting begins with sound sound is like an order carrying subtle information into the ethereal plane , this plane devolves into fire in the form of the electrical charges within atoms and the resulting electromagnetic charges , which in turn form atomic structures that make up of the elements and compounds allowing the formation of the molecular structures. When consciousness enters into the material energies it carries the ethereal package of information that processes the forms of the variates of species, tailor made bodies to suit karmic synchronicities are offered. After the previous devastating destruction , life reforms in the reboot , exactly where the particular particles of consciousness had previously left off , before the previous destruction.
Initially, after the reconstituted planets begin again to form , water is predominantly present. Thus, aquatics have facilities. This is somewhat demonstrated in the fossil records and illudes to the early Cambrian explosion . Gradually land appears as some of the water begins to dissipate , giving way to trees , plants , insects , and the multitude of creatures. Finally mankind is resituated . Before this current complete multidimensional universe existed , which will last 311 trillion years , the universes existed countless of trillions of years beforehand, and they will also be in existence countless of millions of years to come in the future . The 8,400,000 species scattered throughout the multitudes of multidimensional universal planes come and go , come and go for eternal time . These bodies are suitable machines consisting of mater , mind intelligent and within is the deeper original consciousness particle that are experiencing . Its a life of desire and deserves.
Each conscious particle is like a universe in itself , it’s all borrowed energies , stemming ultimately from the supreme consciousness known as Maha Visnu who manifested these realms .
The supreme consciousness lies in one part of the entire existence of spiritual and material realms and through His Yogic nidra trancendental sleep and dream , gives facilities for the night time and day time dreaming of the living beings each of which are awarded temporary body ,minds and intelligences , on loan from the supreme consciousness . Original speciation took place countless of trillions of years ago , but it is a cyclic movement with some variables of species according to time periods within the 4.5 billion year total period.
Vedas indicate. What you need to know you’ll know. What you deserve to know you’ll know . What you don’t need to know you’ll not know. What you don’t deserve to know you’ll not know .
The Vaisnavas are very simple hearted, open people who don’t hoard knowledge, rather they are an open book , the demons are very secretive , they engage in tantrics , directly or indirectly, or seek astrological energies and sacrifices to the Demigods as they desperately try to build their energies and influence , using any methods to hand , all of it self centred.
A decending process to access the highest pure spiritual planes is at play based on something way beyond academics or any manipulation of tantric energies or astrological calculations or karma .
Generally, in the material world, it’s thought knowledge is entirely an ascending process, and to some degree that can be accepted , by study and hard work one can aquire an understanding of a topic but to really understand something ,in its depths something else is also at play .
Richard Feynman mentions these points , a PHD can be a complete fool , and in reality , epistemological calculations are another factor.
How do you know you know ,? how do you know you know you know ?
In the vedas, it’s described there can be knowledge and realized knowledge. it’s termed jnana and vijnana .
Ultimately, in all events, depending on an individual , what their desires are , and how they conduct their lives and who they associate with will determine the knowledge they aquire .
Human life is meant for sacrifice and cultivating knowledge of Divinity, and opening our secretive self calculating hearts to Him and His pure representatives , that alone will further our consciousness .
The self evident truth that all beings are spiritually equal but are placed in different bodies can be realized ,at beginning stages , as well as later , understanding Divinities localized aspect can begin to be perceived , and then further, His original form , or His expansions can be approached.
The Vedic truth of “once one thing is known everything is known ” is to be understood , how can that be how is this to be understood.
So don’t hoard knowledge in a secret way or take some of God’s universal energy for selfish reasons, open and share everything.
