Sri Guru comes in many forms ,

In regards to Guru Tattva, in essence Sri Guru does not want unthinking zombies who replicate his consciousness and thoughts , rather he wants some assistance in spreading the messages of Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu as he does to his Guru , and importantly he is opening his heart to those who he feels want him to , and who have faith in his inner life , he can bestow bhakti Devi and knowledge and practice of intimate services and revelations about Radha Krishna and Their Vrndavana family …..
So very close but also very individual.
We can learn to love all the various branches of the Gaudia Vaisnava acaryas and accept Siksa in various ways , but also some who have a particular mood in dealings may attract more , and one of them we may take formal initiation from , as Mahaprabhu did from example. .
The whole of the param para through the sastra sanga may bestow their mercy also to one who has connected themselves through faith and service to the current link ….
