The fifth chapter explains that persons acquiring knowledge through an intellectual endeavour to understand God or those that act purely within their duties in honest and respect ways towards mankind and all creatures are both on the same path , because the sincerity of purpose to act religiously or piously or to seek God by inner searching are both pleasing to God . When pure and exclusive devotion is added to any of these proccess, Divinity begins to be found .
Thus, jnana yoga or karma yoga are one and the same when correctly initiated under the guidance of the Vedas and saints .

Ultimately , the successful yogi can enter the spiritual planets and personally associate with Krishna in one of the many abodes therein, and accordingly, different relationships are experienced as each individual desires ..
Importantly, Krishna says any endeavour for yoga and communication with God is never lost , even if not completed . Next life, it automatically begins again ..

Krishna, in chapter seven, also details the various varieties of psychological conditioning of the living beings and the effects these material conditions have on a consciousness, including the individual choices that are made . It should be clear free will , determinism, and the responsive universe is at the heart of the Bhagavad Gita.
