God given intelligence in Kali yuga.

kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇaṁ
sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam
yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair
yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ

Translation

In the Age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead, who constantly sings the names of Kṛṣṇa. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Kṛṣṇa Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons, and confidential companions.

In conversing with a priest recently at the Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha temple in Vrndavana,  we came to see differences in tattva .

He said” Janhava mata was not Ananga Manjari . Why are you bringing in Dvarpa yuga to Kali yuga “

But we pointed out that Nityananda prabhu was Balarama Himself , and Krishna appears in all Yugas.


Vrajendra-nandana jei, saci-suta hoilo sei,
balarama hoilo nitai
dina-hina jata chilo, hari-name uddharilo,
tara sakshi jagai madhai


) Lord Krishna, who is the son of the King of Vraja, became the son of Saci (Lord Caitanya) and Balarama
became Nitai. The holy name delivered all those souls who were lowly and wretched. The two sinners, Jagai
and Madhai are evidence of this.

Srila Narottoma das Thakur is a  representative of the Gaudia Vaisnava disciplic succession a member of the Bhagavat line of Siksa Gurus , who wrote this song .

Of course,  the problems come because Krishna is a hidden incarnation in Kali yuga . Although the evidence in Sastra is there in some places and can be found , including the Mahabharata.

Another problem was when I asked him for the  Sastra on his points , he said no Sastra are there  but family traditions from family guru to family guru this knowledge is passed down .

Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur respected some family lineage of  the Gaudia Vaisnavas , but the Bhagavat  line is currently predominant in Gaudia Vaisnavism,  and evidence from both  guru ,  Sadhu and sastra are required so authentic tattva can be understood in this age .

The origins of the Gaudia Vaisnava sampradaya is Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu through His representatives, the six Goswamis. He has given real insights into the ever expanding Srimad Bhagavatam. Particularly the Pranaya the oneness of love and love in union and separation of The Supreme Goddess of fortune Srimati Radharani.

So we respect the family lineage of the Vrndavana priest’s but may not agree with their understanding of Tattva on all occasions
