Perhaps it could be said, Lord Siva like Sri Guru , has on foot in this world and one foot in the Spirtual realms.
In service to Krishna and the fallen living beings who have become attracted to the mayic world , Lord Siva , as Sadasiva , and Mahavisnu works with Lord Siva , so Visnu does not directly touch the material worlds . Thus giving and facilitating temporary material enjoyment along with the systems of approaching the higher planes, Lord Siva is always in meditation of Lord Krishna , showing the perfect example of meditation and compassion .
