The Vedas has much to say on this topic,  the third canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam ,the chapter entitled fundermental principles of material nature,  shows that consciousness is the driver of matter and produces matter ,and not as Darwinian thinkers say , that matter produces consciousness. , subjective evolution is the name of the game, a mind and activities causing atoms ,elements, compounds and molecules to form , the cause of ACTG of the genetic code ,structural protein machines,  nano machines within the cells , with supplied information to form your tailored machine , just the way your historic movements of your mind and activities took you .

Quantum mechanics and the endless possibilities of free will working  within matter with an active mind connected to matter by arrangement and supervision of another consciousness is spoken of clearly in Bhagavad Gita and the engineers and the engineering of all species ,
